25.01.2022 Namaste to u cxx
25.01.2022 This class is an opportunity to release any held tension in your upper body. It does need any yoga knowledge, it just needs your focus and willingness to give yourself some Love. It is a similar practice to what I would teach on my Monday morning classes. Simple good movement that encourages smooth breath and mindful attention. Sending my Monday morning students much love, will miss our hugs and giggles. Keep moving and keep your chin up. Everything passes, Everything c...omes and Everything changes, it’s how we respond that matters. Ps, the sound seems to cut in and out, I will be looking at buying a wireless mic for a more professional outcome hehe. Cxx

25.01.2022 Feeling sad, mad, crappy, lonely, worried, fearful, anxious, it’s no surprise, our global family are too. When loss of control and the unknown of our future heightens, acknowledge it and do something that brings you joy. Take a walk, play with your furbabies, take a break from the news, call a friend, FaceTime family, watch a good movie. Or Practice yoga, move, move move, find a flow state and give your mind a break. Cxx
23.01.2022 CYC classes focus on functional movement and being curious about your habits of mind and body. Recognise your tendencies, acknowledge them and consider your choices.
23.01.2022 A grounding practice for my Monday morning Class students. I have set up a YouTube channel under the name of Claire’s Yoga Cabin and will post regularly to that channel. So if Facebook is not your thing, then just look me up in your internet search engine. ... Keep your chin up and get moving. Cheers and good day to you, Claire
23.01.2022 The first Saturday yoga class went well, we had a good turn out and even though the weather was a little chilly we still managed to practice on the deck with doors open to nature. Big thanks to those that came this morning, it was an absolute pleasure to teach and for some their first yoga class.
23.01.2022 A big thanks to the Turramurra yogis for making the effort at this busy time of year to come together for a good ole chat and lots of laughs. It was fabulous to see you here in my home and to christen the yoga cabin with joy and smiling faces. Maybe next time you are here we will be practicing yoga. Wishing you a joyful, peaceful and restful time with your family and friends. ... See you in 2019 on your mat. Cxx
23.01.2022 Dreaming of the time when fellow yoga and nature lovers get to join me in the yoga cabin. Check out the pics from my hanging out on the yoga deck today in the rain and chill. O and the great find of Derek’s, my new-old students shoe and bag storage. Love a rustic bargain. ... Cxx

22.01.2022 3 great men and one happy woman working on the last of the cabin ceiling lining boards.. Each of us have our special skills and make a fab team! So worth the effort.. and such fun to work with lifelong buddies.... Cxx
21.01.2022 The white wash took a couple of days and a couple of very patient workers to get good coverage. We used 6 no more gaps tubes to keep out the local little critters. The high peaked glass window panes have been installed and next on the agenda is flooring and what to do with the ceiling. Heaps happy to know that I will be offering classes here in the near future.... Woo hoo, cabin in progress. Cxx
20.01.2022 The practice of meditation is bringing our scattered (monkey) mind home, it diffuses our negativity and turbulent emotions and if you are open and aware it unveils and reveals your good heart. That is why I practice meditation, even though it is not always easy, it is a worthwhile practice. This last week I have found staying focused difficult, but like many yoga practices there are an array of methods that can be applied dependent on your state of being in any given moment.... So tonight, because as it is for all of us, my calm and centred nature is a little challenged, I am using touch and tangible objects for my mindfulness meditation practice. What do you have that helps bring you calm? Find something that you can hold in your hand and really observe it, become aware of it, it’s texture, it’s temperature, it’s weight. Awareness on an object in the present moment is enough to give our minds time to rest and our nervous system time to chill. Learn what works for you and do it.. Cxx
19.01.2022 Wise words from a smart foot man.. be considerate of where you place your feet, as your mind follows.
19.01.2022 My first play at creating a vid of my practice for my students, family and friends. So certainly not professional, just me, my inappropriateness and quirkiness. I will check out the Facebook live video when I next get a chance and maybe even the ole you tube or zoom options. It is a 10 min practice, so set yourself up to join me, make sure your comfortable and ready to do a mindful meditation practice. ... Meditation doesn’t mean you have to sit and not move or think, it is the quality of your attention that holds the magic. There is a lot of external influences going on for all of us at the moment and this is designed to bring your focus inwards. When we take time to encourage our minds not to get caught up in thought it gives us some breathing space. It prompts our nervous system to down regulate and golly gosh who doesn’t need that at the moment. Much love Cxx
19.01.2022 The art of walking kitty Kats.. Lots of pit stops. Builds skill in patience. Cxx
18.01.2022 CLASSES UPDATE - no classes as of today. I have made the decision to not hold any of my classes at Claire’s Yoga Cabin or Turramurra Recreation Centre for the short term. I am considering a month of no classes and hope this will give us a good indication of how we in Australia are dealing with and being affected by the Coronavirus.... I, like you, have family and friends that are in the compromised category and I feel that creating social distancing as much as we can, will help to protect the ones we love. My practice of yoga has always been about how can I be the best possible human I can be and that means putting myself and our community at the top of this list. Teaching yoga has given me amazing skills in coping with the challenges of being a human being, and I will continue to put that into practice and encourage all my students to do the same. All the principles of our practice can be applied at this time. When you are feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, don’t try and figure it all out and control it, allow yourself a moment to be mindful of your body, your breath and respond well with a wise mind. Please contact me via Facebook or text if you wish any assistance with your home practice. I will be posting some helpful home and life practice tips and will keep in touch until we meet again face to face. Students with a current class pass, please note that there is no expiry on these passes and they will be able to be used as soon as we are back on track. May your words, thoughts and actions contribute in some way to the support and love of your friends, family and community. Claire

04.01.2022 Join me for a Dusk Meditation Delight.
04.01.2022 The yoga cabin was in its previous life a school class room. It has had three different locations in its life and sat on our block for a good 7+ years dismantled and covered by a taupe. Our good neighbour offered us the opportunity to take it down and dismantle it when the school had some injection of funds and it was no longer needed. The dismantling of a sturdy build like a log cabin wasn’t an easy task and Derek and I have many great memories of the time and a couple o...f beauty scars to go with it. One of my great loves is to repurpose, reuse and re-love. I am so proud and pleased to have had the opportunity to give my energy and effort and Derek’s enormous grit and give it a go attitude to this log cabin, to create its new home. The cabin has always been a place of learning and love and I look forward to students finding peace and joy here in this beautiful place that I am proud to call my home. Cxx
03.01.2022 Mmmmm.. me thinks these work boots have seen some hard work. Working on my repurposed - found at the dump! Timber table for students to chill out and enjoy the view.. Cxx

02.01.2022 Starting to feel and look like the dream I had to teach from a home studio. Flooring and doors in... woo hoo Ceiling and electrical to go and perhaps window dressing that fits the window.. ... Will be fabulous to have students be in this space soon.. Cxx
01.01.2022 We have a regular visitor to the yoga cabin. He certainly looks like he has been around the woods for many a year. He is is not bothered by our comings and going’s and gives us a reminder he is there every now and then with his koala mantra.. Such a joy for the yoga cabin students to see, when perhaps they are focusing out the windows, or doing a noise meditation. ... Can’t wait for the cabin doors to open... not long now Cxx
