25.01.2022 It is such a breeze working with Ryonet Green Galaxy Cryocoat Emulsion. It allows the screen to be completely exposed in 9 seconds flat, it holds amazing detail and lasts for long print runs using either waterbased inks and discharge inks. Weve found that exposing the screens for another 60secs when working with discharge inks works like a , preventing the emulsion from breaking down before the print run is over.

24.01.2022 Since it feels like were being cooked alive today we decided some screen cleaning was in order in the cooler wash room! Anyone else struggling with ghosting on their screens? Obviously the longer you leave it the harder it is to clean after every print job but with some elbow grease and Ryonets awesome Sgreen Stuff has definitely made it so much easier!

19.01.2022 AND HERE IT IS!! Recently weve had the amazing opportunity to sponsor t-shirts for an awesome Non-for- profit organisation called Classroom of Hope. They provide education for children in developing countries through building school which are uniquely tailored to each area which enables them to remove any barriers that are affecting childrens education. ... 121 million children of primary and lower secondary school age do not have access to education Recently the island of Lombok has been rocked by a series of earthquakes which has left half a million people without a home and thousands of kids unable to go to school BUT currently Classroom of Hope are working on a project called Hope for Lombok where they are creating pop up schools to ensure kids can continue to learn in a safe environment while their schools are being rebuilt. 17.01.2022 Sometimes we can get so caught up in the grind that we forget that busy doesnt mean productive... We found that sitting down at the end of each day, assessing how it went and what still needs to be done has helped us a lot to get rid of the excuse of being too busy but instead shifted our focus to prioritising and planning the week out has significantly improved our productivity!... How do you guys keep on top of your daily grind ?

14.01.2022 Love a simple one colour design that packs a punch !! We loved working with Daniela at Escondidosurfco as she is starting up her own surf clothing brand!! The last pic is also something we havent done before and it was a great learning experience on how to get that gradient effect. Were stoked about how well the colours came out too!! ... And of course its got that super soft feel to it because of the signature waterbased inks we use!!

13.01.2022 As you guys know weve been busy doing some renovations these past couple of weeks at the warehouse and we even managed to fit in a 5 day trip to Melbourne in there was well! . But we are extremely excited to let you guys know we have now completed all the renovations and were up and running at 100% capacity!! . Looking forward to using the new additions!... We will be improving our washout booth area to help with noise reduction and better waterproof flooring as well as increasing the size of our dark room to accomodate more screens and a bigger workbench for emulsifying screens on.... 08.01.2022 As promised! A step by step walk through on how we printed these epic looking gradient designs for @mobius.health.performance In case you didn’t know we specialise in waterbased screen printing (which differs from plastisol screen printing but that’s a post for another day ) and for this design we used a combination of discharge printing,half tones (method of printing using a series of small dots and fill in the gaps and creates a gradient appearance) and @permaset_aqua su...percover inks to achieve this super vibrant look on their black tees! The 1st layer down was the discharge base which included the whole design as well as the writing underneath. 2nd layer down was the white within the gradient - it created a much better transitioning effect overall. 3rd layer down was the dark blue, which was quite hard to see even in real life but it created the perfect shadowing effect on the curves of the gradient. The 4th layer down (last colour) was the light blue that covered most of the design - we switched to @permaset_aqua supercover inks for the white and 2 blues basically because of how vibrant they look once printed - especially on dark tees or hoodies. We did the text as the last layer to prevent the other screens from pulling any ink off of the design. Because we were printing wet on wet that meant that each colour is printed whilst the other colours were only touch dry. Normally we would flash dry each layer before printing the next to prevent the ink from being pulled off but the permasetsupercover inks dried extremely quickly so we took advantage of that and would print 8 tees at a time with 1 colour first then move on to the next colour straight away but by doing a full rotation on the press the first tee had more than enough time to become touch dry without us needing to flash it. This eliminated the risk of over curing the ink which would cause any other inks printed on top to simply wash off. So there you go!

06.01.2022 Last week I had the privilege to share my story at the PechaKucha Vol 25 about how Antace went from a dream to a reality and all the hurdles that have accompanied me on this journey. It was very inspiring to listen to other small business owners talk about their struggles and how they overcame them and it makes you realise youre not alone and it can be done despite what we tell ourselves in those darker moments when youve worked yourself into the ground, youre exhausted a...nd theres still so much to be done. 01.01.2022 The Power of Platen Tape!! We use platen tape on our platens to make it easier to keep them clean and it helps to increase the longevity of our equipment. Its also very easy to clean with a simple scrub brush and a bit of . You also get the added bonus of getting more use out of your adhesive and tape.... Most of the time you lose tackyness due to fibres from your garments getting picked up by the glue. When you scrub off the fibres and let it dry it reactivates the adhesive giving you more use out of a single application. We have found that is you repeat this process, you can get around 75 prints on a single application of adhesive before needing to reapply.
