23.01.2022 We came across a job which had TV coaxial cable running over the gutter in a non-compliant manner. As we are professional master cablers we completed the job successfully and the cable is now neatly positioned and cable clipped. There was a lot more involved in this job.

22.01.2022 This photo shows the difference between old non compliant materials vs new compliant cable, compression fitting, wall plate. If you sense that all your wall plates are old, especially in older homes, we would be most happy to upgrade your wall plates to the newest and best compliant materials. This will often greatly improve your digital signal and digital TV viewing. Call Antenna For Less on 3389 6989 or 0409 897 220, and our professional staff and qualified technicians will be able to answer any questions.

22.01.2022 Check you have the right antenna system. There are 4 elements to check for: 1. Where you live - determines signal coverage and frequencies.... 2. What equipment you have - you need a good single antenna, cable and fly lead. 3. How it's installed - the antenna needs to be outdoors, pointing towards the right TV Tower and correctly "polarised". 4. How it's maintained - check for rust or broken/missing elements. See more

22.01.2022 I am the luckiest tradesman. I seem to get the nicest customers. Here I am having tea and homemade scones with a dear customer. YUM! Lovely little perks to my profession

18.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that recommends me on Facebook when a potential customer asks a community group who to get when their tv signal isn't working. The support for me is overwhelming. I had no idea I was so well thought of. Not to brag (yes to brag lol) but I get more recommendations than all my competitors combined! And sometimes Im the only one recommended. This show of love and support and kindness means a lot to me. It really does. I don't run my business on how much mo...ney I can make from each person, but rather how can I help each person and keep costs down. We're all on a budget and appreciate how hard we all have to work to pay the bills. And evidently the community appreciates this too. And in turn helps me by recommending me. Its a circle of love, if I may be a hippy for a moment lol. So thank you thank you thank you to everyone that has helped my business and all the wonderful word of mouth. Im am forever grateful and you all rock! Kind regards Martin See more

17.01.2022 Not all antenna installations are simple. Here we had to go with a large masting system with guy wires, UHF antenna, and an amplifier. After 18 years, I still think the wires should be called "guide" wires, not "guy" wires. But yes, the correct term is guy wires.

16.01.2022 As essential workers, we have a responsibility to return TV reception, phone, and data back to those stuck in the house under isolation regulations. Not just so they can make phone calls in case of an emergency or keep up with the current news and events, but so our customers can also stay entertained with their favourite TV shows and sporting events. Otherwise, being locked up with family for extended periods of time with no TV entertainment might increase the homicide rate ... But we also feel a responsibility to do everything we can to minimize any chance of spreading any pathogen, whether it be the common cold or Covid19. Therefore we practice safe measures including wearing facemasks and using alcohol gel before, during, and after each house we visit. The facemask policy is new however we have been using alcohol gel before it was popular and for many years, for everyone's safety. #tv #tvantenna #antennaman #safecovid See more

15.01.2022 What Is Meant By Polarization Of An Antenna? Polarization of the field radiated by the antenna is another important specification. Polarization refers to the path traced by the tip of the electric field vector as a function of time. There are three forms of polarization: linear, circular and elliptic.... Linear polarization occurs either when there is only one component of the electric field or when there are two components of the electric field and the phase difference between them is 0 or 180. The pattern traced by the tip of the electric field vector as time progresses is a line. Circular polarization occurs when there are two components of the electric field, and they are equal in magnitude and one of the components leads the other by 90. Circular polarization can be either right handed or left handed, depending on the direction in which the rotation of the field occurs with time. Elliptical polarization occurs when the components of the electric field do not have the same magnitude and have an arbitrary phase difference between them; the electric field vector traces out an ellipse with time.

14.01.2022 One of the perks of my job is all the wonderful people I meet and all the interesting stories I hear, especially from my mature aged customers. I really enjoy it. But today was a first and I got to meet Mr Bigglesworth!

13.01.2022 A solar panel system is only as good as the weakest solar panel. That is often the one with all the bird poop on it. This compromised solar panel reduces the efficiency of ALL the solar panels and subsequently the energy they are producing. Its like a chain is only as good as the weakest link. Check to see if your antenna is hanging over your solar panels and if so, give us a call for a quote to relocate your antenna to a better position to maximize your solar panel benefits. The small cost of relocating your antenna will pay for itself very quickly!

13.01.2022 Only the best materials are used at Antenna for Less. Here is a case of 3 inferior antennas replaced with a good antenna. The cost was about a 1/3 of the original 3 antennas cost.

08.01.2022 I think it was time for a new antenna! Antennas shouldn't be in 2 pieces #antennaipswich #antennabrisbane #digitaltv #tvreception
