25.01.2022 This is the Kim family, and this is their story: We started isolating early on given Amelia has cystic fibrosis (CF), a life threatening chronic condition that, amongst other things, affects her respiratory system and makes her especially vulnerable. The effects of Covid-19 could be devastating for her. We are no strangers to face masks, hand sanitising, isolating, and being cautious around others...this is our norm and we have been living this life since Amelia was diagnos...ed. It saddens me everyone is experiencing this little taste of what it is like live with a condition like CF and have to avoid others like we do, but we hope the silver lining is everyone comes out of it better educated and more conscious about hygiene so we can continue to protect those who are vulnerable. We are very grateful to everyone staying home to help flatten the curve. In the midst of this global pandemic, albeit terrifying, we have managed to focus on the light, fun, and gift we have been given to be able to be with our family during this uncertain time. @ Perth, Western Australia

23.01.2022 It’s coming up to the time of the year for everyone to be together. In WA we have been so lucky to have been able to see each other mostly. But, there was a time for a while that I couldn’t see my own parents, and my dad insisted on no more than an elbow touch for many months. Being together is something I hope I’ll never take for granted again. Thanks @_meme.and.scout_ and @my_little_lady_loves for asking me to take these pictures of you all. (How beautiful you all are!) . . . #perthfamilyphotographer #perthfamilyphotography #perthphotographer #perthfamily #naturalfamilyphotosperth #antheakphotography

15.01.2022 There isn’t a formula or a mould you need to conform to in life, and neither is there in your family photos. You are you and you can wear what you feel comfy in, ask for the kind of pictures you’ll love to look back on in many years, the kind of pictures that will evoke memories and feelings. . . . #perthfamilyphotographer #perthfamilyphotography #perthphotographer #antheakphotography

14.01.2022 I loved my photo session with the Noonan family so much I asked for a photo with them. Check me out inserted in the middle of their gang in the second pic. With their permission I also want to point out why professional pics are different to iPhone pics, especially for people who wonder if its really worth getting a professional photographer. I reckon it is, even if its just to make sure everyone is in one frame.

04.01.2022 Its only been a week since Covid 19 really blew up, and Im exhausted by it already. I tend to panic, and am constantly working on trying to stay calm - its not easy. I went to the library today because I thought I should learn to crochet, to tide me over if I cant take and edit photos, but I just landed up borrowing another book about photography I guess its just that photography is such a huge part of my life. It gets me out and about meeting lovely people, seeing new places, it gives me focus and makes me smile, as I edit. In the past few years, its almost been a lifeline for me, so I hope that during these months Ill be able to keep on photographing families and weddings.
