16.01.2022 Hey Guys! Tomorrow night is the night! We are starting the first week of the series of Self-Preservation. I have the study all written out and if you want a preview of the study message me. We will be at the church 6:30pm with dinner provided at 7pm. This is going to be a really powerful night which will be relevant for people of all walks of life. I have been spending the last week interviewing leaders of different religions as part of this series so my hope will be to moti...vate and equip us in sharing the faith! I will encourage you to bring a friend and reach out to the community! If any one wants to help with the dinner let me know! Also remember to have people in your prayers to come to saving faith of our LORD Jesus. Key passage Matt 16:24 Giving up on a life of self-preservation. What is self-preservation? It is living for your own cause or self image and trying to preserve a life of self idolizing. With self-preservation you compete with those around you for favour and glory, you become enraged, spiteful, or perhaps grieved when people achieve more than yourself or you want to see others achieve for your own self fulfillment. Some questions that will be asked on the night include: Q1:Q1: What are your initial thoughts of self-preservation - eg: Why would it be bad to try and save yourself ? Q3: How do you personally make sense of Christ being your life? eg: examine the characteristics of a parasitic relationship, like a mosquito and a warm blooded animal. I can't sustain my life without feeding off someone else’s.
