25.01.2022 Dear Readers - A recent interview with Natalie Reilly (Journalist). One point in the article which is NOT correct is: thyroid antibodies (which are produced in the Gut) attack the thyroid gland - NOT white blood cells per se. https://www.smh.com.au//for-women-the-state-of-your-hair-r
24.01.2022 Is it time to ‘Fexit’: exit or take the fight to Facebook?? Presenting ourselves or our business on Facebook (or other social media platforms) allows you exposure to a far wider audience than could be ever achieved with conventional methods. Its dark side is it’s akin to sticking one’s chin out and asking to be ‘coward punched’. Online bullying, harassment and intimidation has long been a stain on social media platforms, and claimed the lives of many impressionable, vulnera...ble - and often far too young people to whom peer and social acceptance is everything. My life experience including 9 years in the military has steeled me to the comments of those I term ‘cyber-golems’, but it can hurt those who know you better and it can create an unfair, unfavorable impression of one’s business. Trolls (aka cyber-golems) are by nature mentally and emotionally ugly cowards; the most despicable of humanity usually operate in the darkness. They not only destroy businesses but innocent people's lives as many past incidents have shown. The more high profile you are the more vicious attacks apparently - Anthony Seibold, Leigh Sales, Erin Molan and Dylan Grimes just to name some recent Australian examples. Time to fight back !! Register your concerns with our Federal Communications Minister, DEMAND Facebook ends the ability of these keyboard cowards to operate anonymously. If you can establish who is trolling you, go to your local Police and provide name + circumstances. I guarantee if their name is dragged into the light you'll never hear from them again. As a ‘child of the 50’s’ I’ve never been enthusiastic about social media and Facebook in particular*. The surreal world they promote is reminiscent of the Bruce Willis movie ‘Surrogates' where perfect clones are sent out in the world to give the impression of a glamorous, exciting, successful, interesting, picture-perfect life which is not reality for anyone. A billionaire, global CEO who looks like he cuts his own fringe is a worry in my opinion~!!

18.01.2022 Simple suggestions for improving your scalp + hair: Tip 1: For those experiencing scalp irritation, mild folliculitis, dry or flaking scalp: rinse your hair with a diluted white vinegar solution at least once per week. Leave on for at least 10 minutes or towel dry your hair (but don’t rinse out) and leave overnight. White vinegar is an anti-microbial and pH alkaline. Our scalp is more alkaline in pH but most modern shampoos and conditioners tend to reduce scalp alkalinity o...r induce a more acidic scalp pH (Chan: 2018). This simple rinse will in time have your scalp feeling quite vibrant, less irritated which means improved scalp and follicle health. 50-100 mls in a litre of tepid (not hot) water; water should preferably be fully-cooled pre-boiled water or filtered water ideally chlorine and fluorine (fluoride) free. Tip 2: If you are suffering from an oily scalp or hair the inclination is to ‘scrub’ that oil off your scalp ... but what you are actually doing by ‘scrubbing n rubbing’ is stimulating your scalp sebaceous (oil) glands to produce more oil! . You should instead: a. Set water temperature to warm rather than hot. b. NOT shower or shampoo your hair immediately after an intense physical workout but wait until your scalp and body cool down. Sweat and oil glands are more reactive when the skin is heated. c. Apply a generous amount of an appropriate shampoo to your scalp and gently wipe through; use a wide tooth comb to comb down to end lengths of hair. For excessively oily scalp (termed: Seborrhoeic Oleosa) apply a generous amount to your scalp BEFORE you wet your hair. Most shampoos bind oil more effectively NOT in the presence of water. d. Leave shampoo on your scalp whilst you wash your body for extended contact time which allows the shampoo to bind with the oils and remove them. e. Rinse off in tepid-warm water and apply your conditioner from mid-end lengths of your hair rinse off again. f. Gently pat dry your hair without excess agitation and style as desired. A cool blow-dryer setting can be used to achieve this. g. Shampoo excessively-oily scalp states at least three times per week, or after training or been in chlorine water.

12.01.2022 Pills are NOT the answer in hair loss! Scalp hair thinning - particularly in women - is reflecting some area of inner disturbance or deficiency which should be assessed.... Being prescribed blood pressure medication (oral minoxidil/spironolactone) or hormonal therapy is useless (and potentially dangerous) if you are anaemic, have a thyroid condition or other nutrient deficiency. You understand your body more than anyone else - you live in it! If you are not feeling the way you believe you should, get assessed by an experienced practitioner. Your hair is a barometer of your health. #hairloss #trichology #naturaltteatments #treatnaturally #drugfree See more
12.01.2022 Treating hair loss: where do most get it wrong? Sudden + obvious or slow imperceptible loss of scalp hair density is one way your body is communicating things have changed. These changes can be: 1. insufficient nutrient reserves to support hair growth activity.... 2. Internal metabolic-hormonal disturbance compromising the hair follicle process (ie: maintaining a normal growing phase). 3. Onset of disease or chronic illness. 4. The natural changes from biological ageing: hormonal re-balancing, decreased nutrient absorption and deterioration of the skin structures. BECAUSE changing scalp hair density, quality or texture is a reflecting barometer of internal changes, your treating practitioner MUST assess the above 4 points plus any other issue that is individual for you. When underlying deficiency or disturbance is corrected or stabilised, improvement in the hair will usually follow in time. IF the focus is totally on the hair to the exclusion of what's happening within the body then poor outcomes for the patient is likely whatever the treatment being offered. #hairlosstreatments #hairloss #womenshairloss #holistictreatments #femalehairloss #trichology #hairtreatments #integrativetreatment

04.01.2022 Nice feedback from a happy Client: Hi there - I wanted to report that in the last 7-10 days I have started to feel a marked difference in energy and overall mood. I’m usually completely exhausted all day, but lately I’ve actually had energy. I’ve even lost a little weight because it hasn’t been such a battle to move about my day and actually get to the gym! ... I haven’t changed anything except for starting the nutrient therapy almost a month ago, so that’s huge. Thank you, I’m excited to keep going ~!! Mrs. K D (Qld)
