24.01.2022 Richard Vokes of Anthropology & Sociology at UWA is delighted to have been appointed as a Research Affiliate at the University of Oxford, until 2023. His work is looking at global circulations of African and Australian heritage, and is strengthening connections between anthropology in Western Australia, Africa and the UK. The appointment is part of the 'Africa in Australia' research and exhibition platform.
21.01.2022 A new article by Cristina Rocha, Richard Vokes & Kathleen Openshaw has been published on the leading anthropology blog sapiens.org. The article, which is from their ARC-funded project on African Pentecostalism in Australia, looks at the experience of African-Australia Christians during the Covid-19 lockdown.
