15.01.2022 So this happened tonight- A few weeks ago I was nominated for a @qcf2020 Queensland Community Foundation philanthropy award for fundraising activities in aid of @hearandsay. I was surprised to be a finalist as an emerging philanthropist of the year and although I didnt get the main prize I was given an outstanding achievement award. I was in terrific company with @perrycross @lill_luhr. I sat next to this lovely couple who were also nominated for an award - turns out they we...re very stiff competition prof Ian Frazer and his lovely wife Caroline!! Other nominees and winners were @pennywolff @litehaus_international @suncorp. Thank you @queensland community foundation @qcf2020 for the event and recognising volunteers and philanthropy in our community. Everyone was so deserving and it must have been a tough decision to narrow down. My children have been my biggest teachers in life and I have wanted to pay back a huge emotional debt to the hear and say centre for the priceless gifts of speech and language they have restored for my children.
