05.01.2022 On #NationalSorryDay Antidote Editor Rosamund had the pleasure of interviewing Australian born, London based artist Dr Christian Thompson whose work explores identity, sexuality, gender, race and memory. Thompson was first Aboriginal Australian to be admitted into the University of Oxford in its 900-year history, where he holds a Doctorate of Philosophy (Fine Art). 04.01.2022 Shout out to our friends MCA Australia who are hosting an incredible weekend line-up of 'conversation starters' on June 3rd/4th. Inspired by Kader Attia's current exhibition and an exploration of colonialism, nationality and power - our featured choice is the @pyt_fairfield show 'Tribunal' playing both evenings at 6pm. A dramatic imagining of what an Australian truth and reconciliation tribunal may look like, this participatory work has already had two sell out seasons and has two more to come.
