24.01.2022 The 1st Floor balcony outside the Library at this prestigious local college was badly failing and dangerous due to poor drainage. It was also unsightly and a slip hazard. Antiskid were engaged to provide an appropriate solution which needed to be aesthetically pleasing, long lasting, easily maintainable and providing long term slip resistant qualities. The window for works was necessarily short due to the constant requirement for access via the balcony. Due to the uncertain history of previous works the Antiskid team removed the entire substrate working around noise restrictions to minimise disruption. Leveltop screed was installed to create falls to drains followed by Omnigrip Deco and a clear UV stable polyurethane topcoat. An outstanding result for the client with minimal disruption. Well done team.

23.01.2022 The refurbishment of the road and pathway on the Northern side of Carlisle Train Station. And the client wanted Antiskid to ensure that the pram ramp was clearly delineated so that approaching pedestrians and cyclists could be made aware of potential issues. There would be people coming from the train station, from across the road and also from either direction on the path. There needed to be a bright, demarcated statement. Antiskid delivered another fantastic result which has a long design life, will maintain its dynamic colours over the life of the pavement and will be low maintenance. 22.01.2022 Just completed these works at the Causeway near the casino and new Sports Stadium in Perth. It was a pleasure to be involved in this project and the view was just spectacular, as was the finished result. It is now open and providing safety for riders and runners along the river. 21.01.2022 Gage Roads Brewery wanted to expand their operations so needed to create an external bunded concrete area for the location of beer and additive silos. The area was new concrete with a plinth to contain potential spills. The surface needed to be resistant to various chemicals and acids as well as being impact and slip resistant. And the bund walls had to be surfaced as well. Antiskid recommended Flowcrete Flowfresh Polyurethane Cement flooring system utilising Flowfresh UV Stable Gloss Top Coat for the required UV protection to the floor, coving and plinth. This solution is low maintenance and will continue to be a dynamic feature for many years to come with minimal maintenance requirements.

20.01.2022 After a very productive but long year all the boys went out yesterday with https://www.facebook.com/ApacheCharters/ for a day searching for crays and dhufish. We found a heap of crays, a couple of dhufish, a number of other species and a heap of great food, fun and companionship. Thanks to the guys on Apache for looking after us so well and thanks to the boys from Antiskid for a brilliant effort all year. Legends.

20.01.2022 Mandurah Traffic Bridge - Pedestrian Path The City of Mandurah was experiencing problems with a shared footpath on the new Mandurah Traffic bridge. The product that was applied during the construction was not working efficiently and was, in fact, creating a dangerous environment. Antiskid Industries recommended installing the Omnigrip Deco Surfacing System to the existing shared pathway to provide safety for all users in a striking solution that contributed to the overall story that the bridge told. This solution is low maintenance and will continue to be a dynamic feature for many years to come with minimal maintenance requirements for the City.

19.01.2022 The student workshops at this important TAFE College had outdated, slippery and unsafe flooring and required refurbishment. The existing flooring was starting to create an unsafe environment. The floors were also putting excessive stress on cleaning operations and requiring excessive maintenance. Antiskid were brought in to advise and assist with recommendations for a specification for the flooring rectification and associated works. Antiskid Industries recommended installing... a high build epoxy coating which is a solvent-free protective coating, ideally suited to hard wearing environments. The product range is self smoothening, attractive & hard wearing with good chemical & mechanical resistance. It is solvent free making for application without disturbing solvent odours. The team at Antiskid worked closely with the staff to ensure a minimum of disruption and noise mitigation to the ongoing smooth operation of the campus. The result is a world class system with long design life, high impact resistance and is low maintenance. 18.01.2022 A large regional abattoir had an issue with an ageing, 20 year old floor surface that was breaking up, experiencing some delamination and creating potential slip hazards. Like many of our customers there was the added issue of limited time available. Downtime costs money and inconveniences clients. And, being an abattoir, the surface needed to be hygienic and slip resistant whilst standing up to the many rigours that it will be subjected to. Solution: Antiskid designed a sys...tem that would consist of the latest technology poly cement products with antimicrobial properties. It is a Fast Cure system that is food grade approved and resists a wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, amines, salts and solvents. And it incorporates white quartz aggregate with a high PSV. The system is thermal cycling resistant with high mechanical resistance meaning it retains its physical characteristics through a range from -40C up to +120C. The team attended site from COB Friday and delivered a working floor when the doors opened on Monday morning. They removed the existing floor, diamond ground and prepared the surface and then applied the 3-part system. The client experienced minimal disruption and now has a world class flooring system. 17.01.2022 Antiskid have recently completed installing Omnigrip Deco on the landscaped rooftop terraces at Stirling Campus for Deep Green Landscaping and Broad Construction. This project is a conversion of an existing building into an exciting inner city student accommodation project. The Omnigrip adds a real aesthetic value and enhances the whole vibe for these barbecue and relaxation areas. It was a restricted area to work in as well as at height but the Antiskid team came through with flying colours.

16.01.2022 Here are some images of the coloured paving Antiskid Industries installed at the new Optus Stadiums concourses leading to each of the stadium entrances. The distinctive and colourful design was inspired by the six seasons of the local indigenous people but which reflected Western Australias unique geology.

14.01.2022 High Visibility Rapid Install Safety Pathway for Bicycle Traffic Cyclists using the pathway at the Quadrant Building in Perth were experiencing serious safety issues with the path and there had been a serious incident. The existing pathway was creating a dangerous environment, particularly in wet weather. An urgent solution was required. It was also important for the client that this solution be implemented quickly. In the middle of winter there was only going to be more poss...ibilities of slips and skids with the risk of further injuries to users. The team at Antiskid planned and executed the solution to ensure minimal disruption while removing the existing surfacing. Then the areas were marked out and the striking blue surfacing applied followed by the UV Sealer to promote long design life and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the installation. This solution is low maintenance and will continue to be a dynamic feature for many years to come with minimal maintenance. And the entire project was accomplished over the course of 24 hours. 12.01.2022 The City of Melville was undertaking a major refresh of a shared footpath approaching and under Canning Bridge. The area is located in front of the Raffles Hotel and is an essential path for pedestrians and bike riders. The path needed to be aesthetically attractive but also provide good slip resistance. Antiskids expert staff liaised closely with the staff at City of Melville including Engineering and Design to provide a solution. Solution: Antiskid Industries recommended ...installing the OMNIGRIP CST Surfacing System to the existing shared pathway. CST is not only economical and ensures optimum safety for users but is also aesthetically pleasing, and in harmony with the surrounding environment. The team at Antiskid worked with the head contractors during all works to ensure that disruption for users was kept to a minimum. 12.01.2022 The stairs leading down from the western side of the Matagarup Bridge had some previously installed safety stair nosings that were coming loose and presenting a trip hazard. The client needed a solution that would be long lasting, low maintenance and would enhance the existing design aesthetic for the entire bridge precinct. 11.01.2022 Antiskid were presented with one of the all time challenges recently. An inner city hotel had a huge water-ponding issue on their 9th Floor Podium Deck. This resulted in water seepage into the building proper and potential issues with carbonation and salt penetration. There was also evidence of concrete cracks and some slab deflection. Antiskid Industries were engaged to provide the solution. This was a highly technical and complex project and required input and liaison from ...product manufacturers, consulting engineers and Antiskids expert staff. Firstly we removed the existing membrane system and the covering stone. Repairs were then performed to all surface cracks, expansion joints, construction joints and failed penetrations using injectable epoxy resin systems. Antiskid staff expertly created a backbone arrangement which was then infilled with Sika Level 30 product to an appropriate surface ready for the seamless waterproofing. The final action was the application of Sikalastic Seamless Waterproofing System incorporating Sika fleece fabric. By working closely with all stakeholders and outside technical staff Antiskid were able to deliver an outstanding solution covered by a 15 year Manufacturers Warranty. See more

11.01.2022 The team have been kept extremely busy over the last few months with a number of big projects around the entire new Perth Stadium. Firstly there was Omnigrip on most of the concourses outside and inside this vast stadium including from the train stadium to the entrances. Then there has been the recently completed public jetty which has been surfaced in more Omnigrip Deco for its aesthetic and skid resistant qualities. And we still are working on the approaches, bus stand areas and the actual surface area of the Matagarup Pedestrian Bridge (which is now open ut continues to be surfaced by Antiskid). The floors were also putting excessive stress on kitchen operations and requiring excessive maintenance. Antiskid were brought in to advise and assist with recommendations for a specification for the flooring rectification and associated works. Antiskid conducted operations utilising a staged approach working closely with the builder and to a strict deadline and budget. All vinyl and adhesive was removed, tiles were prepared and falls to drains rectified. Finally Flowfresh PU and coving was applied. The result is a world class system with long design life, high impact resistance which is low maintenance.

05.01.2022 Sienna Woods by Stockland is nearing completion and Antiskid have just completed our works on the Adventure Playground. Spectacular. This will be a feature of the entire development. Using the right products to deliver hard wearing, long lasting surfacing with brilliant colours is a credit to the whole design team and just what the client desired.

04.01.2022 Antiskid recently completed the flooring in this Mercury Treatment facility in Kwinana. Working with the contractors we had to design a very hard wearing, forklift trafficable system with a long design life. An important requirement was that the colour had to be very specific in order that any leakage or spills were instantly observable. The system also needed to be capable of lining a catchment sump. Job done and delivered.

03.01.2022 What do you do when your loading dock is in sub-par condition and potentially hazardous for users. Especially if it is an old concrete dock that needs repairs and is in use 7 days a week. In the case of this CBD Hotel they called in WAs premier experts in flooring solutions. Antiskid were tasked with resolving this problem and our designers suggested Omnigrip CST Black Gloss. This is a very hard-wearing surface that is consistent with an asphalt design but has additional ben...efits over standard asphalt. It can be applied over existing concrete and has very good crack bridging properties. Antiskid staff firstly performed concrete repairs to the underlying substrate before the application of the Omnigrip. Works were completed in consultation with the client over two weekends to ensure continuity of service and a minimum of disruption.
