25.01.2022 Some sleep deprived Tasmanians to check out. Good luck with the single fellas
25.01.2022 Hi all, had a few worried messages about upcoming mixing projects but I generally work alone so it’s business as usual. I will not be slowing down or dishonouring any bookings so fear not friends. Stay safe everyone.
24.01.2022 And to make up for Jan, Nocturnal_Animals from Adelaide. They're degenerates but this is a cool track. https://open.spotify.com/track/7ISvo4ZXfdaEnNud7owj5u
24.01.2022 Anton.........where do i begin??? You sir are an amazing talent and a beautiful human being. I cant thank you enough for producing and engineering MY KNID of CH...AOS's debut album. You have truely out done your self. It has been such an incredible experience working with you mate and i am proud to call you my friend. Thanks for everything, Nic . MY KIND OF CHAOS
23.01.2022 An upcoming track from Brisbane's The Urban Sea - EP out next month I believe. Just don't put these guys in any old category... they may get irked. I believe genre-fluid is the term they prefer Mixed by Anton Hagop Mixing
22.01.2022 I had the pleasure of mixing this very cool EP from Brisbane 6-piece outfit The Urban Sea. Soul, rock, R&B - you really do get bang for your buck with these guys.
20.01.2022 I'm not going to do the 'sorry I haven't posted in a while' crap. I'm not sorry, and you don't care. I've been busy mixing away in my cave and thought I might do an Artist of the Month thingy, which I'll likely remember to do quarterly. First up is SILT - a quality indie pop four piece from Melbourne.... https://open.spotify.com/artist/3nxw7GeuKvChxJ8voZiuxR
20.01.2022 This is where I stole my pic from - working with Daniel Johns on his Talk album circa 2015. We went back to 301, in the same room (Studio 1 - Neve) that we recorded Diorama in. 14 years went bloody quick! Sadly that site has been demolished to put up apartments, what a shame. I worked on lots of great music there, including Powderfinger's Vulture St, Missy Higgins' first few releases and Will Smith's 1000 Kisses (nope, not joking).
18.01.2022 Thanks very much Dave, hope all is well your end mate.
17.01.2022 Cheers Mick! Just one thing to say... I got a fever!
17.01.2022 Check out the new single I mixed for Aussie rock legends The Casanovas. Who said rock n' roll is dead? Crank it!
13.01.2022 Common question I get - how much better will our songs sound after mixing? The answer is of course 'heaps' - but I figured actually hearing the difference is much more useful! See the video for before/after clips of four recent Anton Hagop Mixing projects. Unfortunately audio quality gets pretty mangled here on FB but you'll get the idea. Thanks Larsen, The Sleepyheads, The Urban Sea and Marrow Lane for permission to expose their naked bits in this vid.... www.antonhagop.com.au
09.01.2022 Mixed a few tracks for Jonah recently, very cool stuff and a nice guy to boot. Hmm, does anyone say to boot anymore... Anyway have a listen, features the always wonderful Gordon Rytmeister on drums and mastered by the ab fab Matt Gray.
07.01.2022 If you want your songs to sound AWESOME, then use Anton Hagop . He has all the gear, is a great person to work with and if you wanna sound pro use this guy. You won’t find better
04.01.2022 If you know what's good for you then you really must get some The Dagwood Dogs in your diet. Congrats on the win guys! Mixed by Anton Hagop Mixing and mastered by maestro Matthew Gray Mastering. #NowPlaying
04.01.2022 Good luck to Larsen with their new single 'Honey', it's sweet! Well worth a listen, but on Spotify or Apple Music - FB really f*cks up the audio quality big time
03.01.2022 So who's your favourite current Aussie rock band? Looking for some good new music I may have missed, which is usually quite a lot. Seasoned pros, new upcomers... all good. As long as they write good tunes and have fire in their bellies. Any of the rock species is welcome (indie, alt, hard, grunge, prog, Brit, punk, blues, psych, cold, Dad). List your top 3 if you have troubling making firm decisions.... Random pic is of shredder Bob Wood. Still rocking at 81, gives us all hope.
03.01.2022 Another catchy tune from Tassie rockstars The Sleepyheads, nice work once again gents
02.01.2022 Fun track from Townsville troublemakers Marrow Lane. I can't remember the last time I mixed a track under 2:20, what joy! https://youtu.be/dlGiQfYoAdU... https://open.spotify.com/track/7BIut7GEFeCf55yzlUNY7G Mixed by Anton Hagop Mixing
02.01.2022 Winner #2, @CJ Stranger
02.01.2022 Thanks Joel, your guitar playing is magnificent as your hair, and that's a quite the achievement! I think I need to say these are not paid endorsements...although cash for comment does seem to work well for some
01.01.2022 For lovers of cheesy pop, hip hop or Nickleback... look away, nothing to see here. Otherwise check out the first single from an upcoming debut album by singer-songwriter Mark Owen Scott. I think he was channeling a little Mick n' Keef on this one - out on the usual platforms. Helped along by Stefan Nowak on keys and Ozzy Plateau on guitars, mastered masterfully by Matt Gray.... https://open.spotify.com/track/03Ku5hbGXAXi7N0ydNbGc5
