17.01.2022 New work now on @pap_magazine - Albus is a denunciation project that focuses on the slow and progressive disappearance of the Apuan Alps, known throughout the world for the extraction of marble, a controversial activity that proceeds at a dizzying pace. Five million tons of marble are excavated each year and most of it is used as a substitute for lead in paint, asbestos in roofs and as a filler in cereals, cosmetics, vitamin tablets and toothpaste, causing a significant env...ironmental impact. The law states that quarries can not be used to extract debris only, but that is exactly what has been happening. The export of marble represents a serious loss to the community and the environment but the problem is unfortunately ignored. With this project, we want to enhance beauty by avoiding excesses and waste also from a fashion point of view by using fabrics and unconventional recycled materials. .
