16.01.2022 We're back! It's been so wonderful seeing everyone back together this week. Our assembly may still be virtual, but all being on the same property makes a big difference! Looking forward to a great term 4 ahead.

15.01.2022 A special moment today as our 2020 production main cast had a preview screening of their special filmed version of key scenes from our production this year. What an amazing effort from Alena and our super dedicated Grade 6 students who have overcome everything 2020 could throw at them and still achieved success in producing a show. The rest of the school will see their efforts in a special showing next week. Great job team!

15.01.2022 We're going to run some #FlashBackFriday photos in the lead up to APPS' 60th Birthday in September. Check out these shots from the 70s through to our 25th year - way back in 1985! Do any of these shots trigger a memory for you? If you went to APPS and have memories to share, we'd love to hear them. Feel free to post in the comments below or contact the school at [email protected]. We'd love to collect your stories as a way of sharing our community's memories with our current students as they celebrate 60 years of APPS.

15.01.2022 What will you dress up as tomorrow?

13.01.2022 Our #APPSROCKS rocks are being found in all sorts of places right across our local neighbourhood. Thank you to those of you sending in your photos or posting them to our Parent Info Facebook page. Remember, once you find one, hide it somewhere else for another member of our community to find. It's just another little way that we can connect together while apart.

12.01.2022 There was great excitement in our Prep rooms today as we watched one of our chicks hatch! Our Preps have also been hosting Maisey the rabbit and her little kittens. This is all to assist them in their inquiry into the characteristics of living things and life cycles. There is so much excitement as we look after and observe our animal friends each day.

11.01.2022 Even though we couldn't all be together, there was a whole lot of birthday fun happening earlier this week for APPS' 60th Birthday celebration. We loved seeing pictures of everyone in their 60s dress-ups, playing 60s games, learning 60s dances and baking lots of APPS birthday cakes! Thanks to everyone for helping to make our birthday special.

10.01.2022 Foundation students enjoyed a virtual storytelling incursion today with Kira, as part of ‘Indigenous Literacy Week.’

10.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor for the APPS disco tomorrow! Link on compass

09.01.2022 Check out our new ink! We got some great new outside actives and learning spaces designed and painted this week!

08.01.2022 What better way to finish a hard week of remote learning than with story time! Let one of our fabulous Library Captains, Tessa, entertain your kids with her reading of 'The Jolly Postman'. And from next week, join us live every Wednesday at 11am for story time with both of our amazing Library captains, Jess and Tessa, as they read a story. Look out too for a special guest APPS staff member each week who will be reading one of their favourites as well.

06.01.2022 Time for another #FlashbackFriday as we count down to our remote 60th Birthday celebrations on Monday. Sadly, some classic primary school activities are no longer with us. Comment below if you have happy memories of sack races, tug-of-war competitions and Easter bonnet parades!

05.01.2022 Our ERRIC mascot is busy writing his Book Fair wish list because we are excited to announce that next week will be our virtual Book Fair purchase week! More info to come in the coming days...

05.01.2022 To celebrate our virtual Book Fair purchase week we will be having our much anticipated Book Fair Dress Up day this Monday. Our students are encouraged to come to their Google Meets dressed as something to do with the genre of our Book Fair theme of Fantasy!

03.01.2022 What's the best way to learn about the different ways money is used? By creating shops of course! Foundation students have been working cooperatively within groups to create items for their 'almost-real' shops. With much excitement and a healthy dose of imagination, 'APPS Land' opened for business today. Children (and some teachers!) had so much fun spending their $10!

01.01.2022 Our Grade 2s have had a wonderful time at their Virtual Camp this week, participating in team challenges, an obstacle course, orienteering and biscuit decorating at school and then games, bedtime stories from their sleeping bags and breakfast the next morning all virtually at home. With our camp having to be cancelled this year it was great to still have a camp experience and to see our students’ beaming smiles!

01.01.2022 Have you heard about the Library Wish List Program at our Book Fair? This program is designed to expand resources in our library via donation. Members of our community can choose to donate a book to our school library by selecting one from their child's grade's classroom wish list. Alternatively, you can choose to make a cash donation towards one of the books! Head to our website for more information http://bit.ly/APPSbookfair
