This was taken near the surface at the Piccaninny Ponds. And yes, it really was as un-worldly and erie as it looks! 23.01.2022 Throwback to my first ever freedive comp, the BIOS World Cup in Cyprus. I remember how relieved I felt after successfully completing my dive with so many legendary divers around. We had to take a shuttle boat out to an enormous barge some 5km offshore. Making it all the more nerve racking, I had announced a depth of 5m deeper than my previous best.
