08.01.2022 Hey Everyone! We'd like to introduce to you MYOB, an Australian multinational company who is hosting their own IT challenge, an exciting opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and address real-world issues. Read more below! MCC is proud to again be hosting one of our only Trans-Tasman case competitions!... Sign up on our website on Friday 14 August: https://myobitchallenge.co.nz/registrationopen/ The MYOB IT Challenge is a case competition fusing technical knowledge and business analysis. The competition sees students addressing issues found in small to medium enterprises - driving real solutions for business problems throughout New Zealand and Australia. Teams of 2-4 students are given one week to analyse and develop a conceptual idea for an app or a website regarding a given case. They are then required to create a 7-10 minute pitch video along with a one-page executive summary. After submissions are reviewed by judges, the top 3 regional finalists in New Zealand and Australia will be selected to take part in the Trans-Tasman finals. The final round is a 10 min presentation and 10 min QnA format held online. Teams are expected to create a basic prototype of their conceptual design to present to a panel of judges. The winners of the regional rounds will get their chance in winning a share of the $8,000 prize pool, work with expert mentors from MYOB and get feedback from industry leaders. This is an excellent way for students to exercise their business skills, develop their technical skills and to consolidate presentation and teamwork abilities.
