25.01.2022 Thank you Monica Callinan- it was a pleasure working with you and Oliver. To see you both complete your estate planning process has given me much joy. You should find comfort in knowing that your estate is now set up to deal with eventualities of life and that a pathway now exists for your family in the event of such eventualities!

24.01.2022 I spent the day this morning in the Moorabbin Justice Centre. My client has been charged with committing family violence. She called her ex-husband "coward". Of course we will contest this matter all the way until a final hearing or until the charges are withdrawn. Surely the Courts resources are better served for prosecuting more serious offences!

24.01.2022 Hi, if you need chiropractic assistance, see the post below. I am happy to say that during my consultations with Dr. Adler, I found her to be gentle and also able to apply pressure where the situation needed it. I am more than happy to recommend Dr. Adler to anyone who is thinking about seeing a chiropractor.

23.01.2022 where there is a Will, there is a way....

23.01.2022 Congratulations to my clients on their purchase and sale today. We have helped you purchase in the local area some seven years ago, we have done your Wills and Powers of Attorney, we have done your childrens purchases of real estate properties and now we have assisted in your downsizing! A true definition of a repeat client # a happy client # I am grateful, thank you.

21.01.2022 Interesting article on whether COVID-19 means parents can keep their children from spending time with the other partner- https://www.abc.net.au//managing-shared-custody-o/12067214

18.01.2022 It has been a month of several Court appearances in the Family Court for me. Whilst not always the cheapest and speediest solution for disputes, it definitely is the last resort when parties fail to reach an agreement. Happy to report that success rate was four out of four.

17.01.2022 Wow! What a busy start to the new year! 2018 has already seen me represent my clients in the Family Court, the Supreme Court and also in the local Magistrates Court. And it is not even the end of February! Will 2018 be the year of gratitude for me and the business? With lots of new and repeat clients in my core areas of work being family law and estate planning, I could not be more thankful. I look forward to continuing to provide quality professional service to my clients ...in my eighth year in business, to being upfront about costs, to being helpful in litigation matters, to being courteous and to being a person that clients can trust. Like a recent new litigation client said to me only yesterday, "I received 3 quotes, one was ridiculously low, the other one was in the mid-range and you were in the higher range. I chose you because you listened to me and were the most informative and direct about my chance of success".

16.01.2022 Always grateful when time is taken out for a review. It assists in continuing to develop and provide a professional service to clients

16.01.2022 I am embarrassed to note that I have not posted here since December last year. Well it is has been an extremely busy start to the year with several appearances already in the Federal Circuit Court and in the Supreme Court. Again, I am truly grateful to my existing clients and the clients that they refer to me. I aim to provide quality legal advice and to hold my clients hands throughout the legal process.

16.01.2022 Love being part of this Chapter in Caulfield! Happy to speak to any business owner in the local area that is interested.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to my clients making a sea-change to Seaford. Settlement went ahead as per plan. I am always thankful when that happens. A great way to end the week.

14.01.2022 I found this link really helpful with the current questions surrounding the new Home Builder Grant. https://treasury.gov.au//HomeBuilder_Frequently_asked_ques

14.01.2022 Great solicitor, helpful and understanding

13.01.2022 Hooray! We won! Remember the four day Supreme Court trial, well judgment was delivered in our favour today, I could not be more pleased! All the hard work paid off, happy client means happy Anuja.

13.01.2022 Anuja is not just a professional , shes competent, caring and comforting ......

13.01.2022 It is always an honour to be asked to act as an executor for clients in their Wills. The role of an executor is one of utmost trust, where the person needs to act with due care and utmost loyalty to the beneficiaries named in the Will.

12.01.2022 Recently we have assisted a few family law clients in the Magistrates Court in relation to intervention orders. An intervention order is a court order to prohibit a person from committing an act of abuse on a protected person. An intervention order can be sought in relation to non-domestic (non-family) situations as well as in domestic situations where the defendant is related to you. If you fear for your safety and believe that you would benefit from such an order, please contact me # safety# intervention orders.

11.01.2022 Earlier this week I reviewed a Contract for the purchase of a residential home. The client had already negotiated the purchase price, his name was already printed on the Contract and he had scheduled a meeting at the real estate agents office to formally sign and make the offer. A few hours before the scheduled meeting he called me and asked me to peruse the Contract for him. The Contract was for an apartment that was built 2 years ago. I found that the Builder was being sue...d in Court for defective building works exceeding $200,000 and that the owners corporation was raising huge levies to cover the damage bill. Naturally our client had not paid attention to these matters. I was absolutely thrilled to have saved him from all this stress and worry. I love it when my work allows me to help people in this way # get your Contracts checked # never sign on the dotted line until you have had your Contracts checked. See more

10.01.2022 I am eternally grateful to my clients who are so generous during this festive season. (sorry do not know how to rotate this picture). As the year draws to a close, I wanted to wish all my clients and support network a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. 2018 has been a fantastic year only because of your trust in our work and our mutual commitment to achieve results in your matter.

10.01.2022 In these times of uncertainty due to COVID-19, your financial and personal wellbeing is my priority. If you are self-isolating and/or keeping a safe distance from friends and family, now is the time to make sure you have your Wills and Powers of Attorney in order. Remember if you need to self-quarantine or are admitted to hospital and you dont have these important documents in place, you can place your family and your business in jeopardy. If you dont have powers of attorney in place, then no-one else can make important business or financial decisions on your behalf. As a business owner and as an individual, it is 100% essential that you have an up to date Will and enduring powers of attorney in place # I can help # working from home # zoom conferences.

10.01.2022 It pays to have legal representation in Court. Today a client walked away from some significant charges in the Magistrates Court simply because we had excellent representation for him in Court and it was "all too hard" for the Prosecutor! My client walked away with only a fine when he was expecting way more! Awesome result. I could not be happier for this client.

09.01.2022 Here are 5 reasons why you MUST have a Will. Reason One- Beneficiaries- you get to choose who benefits from your estate. If you die without a Will, the estate is divided in accordance with legislation. Reason Two- care of infant children- if you have children under the age of 18 years, through a Will, you can appoint their guardian.... Reason Three- maintain the family business- if you run a business, you can appoint persons to continue with your business after your death. Reason Four- Executors- if you have a Will, you get to choose your executors who are persons who will manage your estate; Reason Five- reduce stress and costs- you can save your estate from thousands of dollars in legal fees if you have a Will. A well drafted Will will also mean that you have thought about who should benefit from your estate and avoids stress.

08.01.2022 I wanted to share the details of an event to be held on 14th of May at 7pm where I am presenting on family law matters. With one out of three marriages ending in divorce, one is hard-pressed to say that they are not affected by the effects of a breakdown in a relationship. If you know of someone that would benefit from an event like this, then please share this page with them.

07.01.2022 I am all ears today as Federal parliament discusses the changes to the Family Law Act in respect of family violence. It would be a welcome change if laws didnt allow perpetrators to personally cross-examine the victims. In a country where one in four women and one in twelve men have experienced at least one incident of family violence, it is a topic that touches the hearts of many.

07.01.2022 Did you know that if you were involved in a motor vehicle crash and there was property damage, you have to report the crash to the nearest police station? Thats right- not common knowledge but indeed a breach of the Road Safety Act if you fail to report. We assisted a client who was charged with a similar offence and other traffic offences today when he appeared in the Magistrates Court in Moorabbin. Having legal representation today meant that his charge was dropped and he only received a small fine # always report crash at police station # get legal representation.

07.01.2022 Thank you Denis. It has been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to continuing to assist you.

06.01.2022 Lengthy delays in Family Courts and Federal Circuit Courts as a result of COVID19. https://www.theaustralian.com.au//5c7585a4bd8b5d64aad50485

06.01.2022 Get your ducks in a row......I bet you all know what this phrase means but you may find it interesting to know that it gets used all the time in the Family Court or really in any litigation matter. It is about being organised, prepared and being ready for what is about to happen. In Court last week, we did exactly this and the result is that our client will this weekend see his only child after almost a year of being denied contact. It has been a difficult journey for our client but we have advised them, guided them and held their hands throughout the litigation process. This weekend we will relish in the thought that we made this happen! We had our ducks in a row!

05.01.2022 Meet my friend and photographer Lee Biderovsky. She is a commercial photographer and this month only, she is holding mini sessions where you and your family can be captured on camera and have beautiful memories for keepsake. Lee is responsible for creating my corporate head shot and I have no hesitation in recommending her. She is a talented lady and you would be well looked after.

05.01.2022 It is not often that you come out of Court completely thrilled and elated! Elated for your client!!! Because once proceedings are on foot, through compromise and negotiation, parties learn to adjust, accommodate and work with what their solicitors have secured for them. That being said, I had the best outcome for my family law client yesterday in Melbourne. It took 14 months of hard work, patience and stamina whilst in Court but it eventually wore down the opponent yesterday.... Today I want to dedicate this post to clients who are just good clients, they follow instructions, they are easy to work with, they value your advice and above all, they have patience and knowledge of the system and the practice that allows them to take control of their proceeding.

04.01.2022 An excellent initiative by the State Revenue office with webinars scheduled for 28th and 30th August to help Victorians navigate the grants, exemptions and concessions available to them when they buy their first home in Victoria. Booking can be made at https://www.sro.vic.gov.au/events # educational # is your child ready to buy their first home # conveyancing

03.01.2022 Last week I appeared in Parramatta, Sydney for a Family Law Matter involving a property dispute. Why Sydney you may ask- well because the legislation governing NSW and VIC is the same when it comes to family law. Here is my clients testimonial on my work which i am forever grateful for.... "Thank you so much for your legal services over the past few months. I always felt up to date, guided and set with realistic expectations in every step of the way. The distance made no difference in the quality of your services and sometimes I even forgot that you were located in Victoria! Your representation in Parramatta NSW court was powerful and I knew I was in very strong hands. Thank you once again, I am very happy with the outcome and consider myself very lucky to have had legal representation from someone who genuinely had my best interest at heart."

03.01.2022 Matters involving disputes about assets worth less than $500,000 can be fast tracked under a new initiative that comes into effect this week in Melbourne Federal Circuit Court

03.01.2022 Third time lucky?? Another pleasing result in the Magistrates Court in Dandenong today where the matter against our client was withdrawn. Is there any such thing as luck when it comes to litigation- of course NOT! Amongst the myriad of reasons why one would be successful in a Court matter, what tops the list for me is being aware of the strengths and weakness of your case and of course knowing whether the other sides case has any merits.
