22.01.2022 At sunset, every night (AEST) the world's largest colony of Little Penguins waddle up Phillip Island's floodlit beaches to their homes. Since we aren't able to welcome visitors to enjoy this natural phenomenon in person at the moment, we've decided to bring the penguins into homes across the world instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW8xt_KOc9Y

20.01.2022 Currently ANU directly and indirectly contributes to the emission of significant quantities of greenhouse gases (GHGs), contributing to one of the greatest challenges the world has ever faced: climate change. The ANU Below Zero initiative aims to transition the University from being part of the problem to becoming part of the solution from a source of GHGs to a net absorber of GHGs. ANU is seeking ideas from all students, staff and the community to help develop the ANU Bel...ow Zero strategy, based on personal perspectives and research & professional expertise. This consultation is focused on seven core themes: 1.Leadership and targets 2. Energy & buildings 3. Travel 4. Behaviour change 5. Removing atmospheric greenhouse gas emissions 6. Finance, investment & purchasing 7. Integrating below zero operations with research & teaching You are invited to participate in one or both of the following ways: a. Contribute your ideas, like and build on other ideas via our online idea capturing platform. This can take as little as 5 minutes. b. Join us to share and discuss your ideas at an online workshop we’re holding a workshop on each of the themes listed above over the next 6 weeks.
