20.01.2022 EOIs are now open for students (or full/partial teams) wishing to compete in the 2021 HSF international Computational Law e-Mooting Competition!! The competition will take place between December 2020 and April 2021, with the winning team being offered a week-long internship with Herbert Smith Freehills in one of its global offices, including return economy airfares and accommodation. Entrants must be enrolled in either an LLB or LLM degree at the ANU for the entirety of t...he moot period. The ANU can enter up to three teams in the competition, which is being organised by the ANU and the SMU. The team(s) will be coached by Andrew Ray who won the 2020 competition. Teams that progress to the oral rounds will meet current and former judicial officers who will be helping run practice moots. This aspect of the coaching has been organised in collaboration with the ANU Visiting Judges Program. Expressions of interest close 25 November at 5.00PM and questions can be sent to [email protected]. All coaching, practice moots and the competition itself will be run via zoom and there is no need for participants to be based in Canberra. 02.01.2022 Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a relaxing and refreshing mid-semester break! After the break, we will be reaching the pointy end in the majority of our LSS competitions, and we understand that this can be a stressful, intimidating and daunting time for all our competitors. Therefore, for this week's wellbeing reminder we thought we would collect and share some of our community's most embarrassing competitions stories as an entertaining reminder that everyone has little slip-ups, and they don't serve as a indicator of your ability at all! In fact, a few months down the line, they may even serve as a funny anecdote. So without further ado, please enjoy some of the LSS's not so finest, finest comps moments.
