25.01.2022 Can you guess what's printing in our Form2 Resin Printer? Someone had better ask @DigitialHumANU...

25.01.2022 The ANU MakerSpace @ Engineering houses a great 4x/10x Microscope for inspecting PCBs in E112 We're happy to report it works just fine for lots of other things. Here's a selection of stuff picked on our walk between Physics and Engineering. #Microscope #definitelynotanelectronmicroscope #makersgonnazoom #ANU #CECS

20.01.2022 Do you dream of sliding around on a hovercraft? We sure do! Every year students undertaking a Master of Science Communication Outreach show up at the MakerSpace as a critical component of their program. In addition to becoming skilled hovercrafters, graduates learn how to communicate science to diverse audiences. We see these students return throughout their program as they build their own novel projects to take on tour with the Science Circus. Applications for the program cl...ose October 30th, check the link in our bio for more details. #Makersgonnahover #Hovercraft #comingthrough #Makergonnacommunicate #Scicom #Communications #Science #ANU #ourANU #Make

20.01.2022 We're back! While some parts of the campus remain closed, the MakerSpace @ Phys is open again. MakerSpace @ SoAD (Digifab) is closed until further notice. . Please exercise caution while moving around campus as some areas may still have debris from the storm. Happy making!

18.01.2022 We’ve been struggling with getting our 3D scanner to work so we called in some help from the big guns on campus. Thank you Renee from @anudigitalhumanitiesresearch for the masterclass in 3D scanning! ... ... #makersgonnascan #3Dscanning #3Dprinting #MakerSpace #Masterclass

17.01.2022 Another tool we’ve subtly added to the MakerSpace @ Engineering is a large format paper cutter given to us by the RSB. This tool is great for trimming down sheets of card or paper and is oh-so-satisfying to use. #Makersgonnacut #Papercutter #Likealasercuterbutwithoutlasers

16.01.2022 Fire Fight Exhibition - WIRES Fundraiser opened last night at Nishi Gallery with works from many familiar artists for sale (and a sign etched here at the MakerSpace). 13.01.2022 MakerSpace @ Engineering was really pleased to help Lids4Kids Australia buy their first granulator! It's been a pleasure to train up Tim and the gang! As the MakerSpaces work more and more with plastics recycling, we'll have even more to share with awesome community initiatives like this one. This would not have been possible without lots of help from Engineering & Computing at ANU #anucecs #makersgonnamake #makersgonnagranulate #plasticrecycling #Lids4Kids

13.01.2022 This semester we had ceramics students venturing down to 3D print models for slip casting - here are Lea’s (@sproutmade’s) final objects and a progress shot of the OG house print.
