25.01.2022 We could watch this all day Back in August we filmed this flowering canola at @NSW Department of Primary Industries trial sites in Wagga Wagga. Our producer Tony Crowley was there to capture a series on frost damage for Grains Research and Development Corporation. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
24.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2008 | Ag research video has always been a core business stream for Anvil Media. We produced the FeedbackTV DVD for Meat & Livestock Australia from 2007 to 2011 (4 each year). Always full of relevant information for red meat producers, FBTV was Australia’s premier ag extension video product. Just last year, the The University of Queensland leucaena research featured in this clip yielded a commercial variety resistant to psyllids. Ag research is not for the impatient.
22.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2006 | No COVID cure here, just a sheep drench that works! Filmed at Molong in country NSW, Anvil Media's concept for Virbac Australia Primary Producer played on the technical language of veterinary medicines to show that controlling worms in sheep could be simple. A strategic approach to cut through the noise in a crowded market and reach our consumer with a strong and simple message. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions

20.01.2022 Marketers call it the ‘buyer journey’, in ag we call it the ‘adoption cycle’. It’s the journey we all make when making a decision to do anything - buy, reduce, move, change. When thinking about video content, it’s important to consider what stage your audience will be in to best connect with them at the right point of their decision-making process. Video has the power to generate a direct response or action when used strategically. 18.01.2022 The agriculture, forestry and fishing industry reported the highest number of worker fatalities in 2019, with Safe Work Australia reporting 9.1 fatalities per 100,000 workers in the sector. For any organisation in the ag industry that operates machinery, vehicles or simply demands manual labour from their employees; making the investment in effective safety training is a no brainer. We believe that the kind of safety training required to keep workers safe from serious injur...y is inherently visual, and video solutions can be a great way to deliver it in an effective and consistent way. We were engaged by National Meat Industry Training Advisory Council Limited (Mintrac) to create a series of safety videos that did just that. The series, named Meat Industry Essentials, is now used in abattoirs nationally, using 10 training videos to keep employees in the meat processing sector safe. https://www.youtube.com/watch #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
18.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2005 | Now, this is an ag chem TV commercial with a difference. While Farmoz (now ADAMA Australia) were big sellers of crop protection products, they lacked brand recognition. Not to mention they’d been acquired by an Israeli company with no brand recognition in Australia at all. The brief was all about brand. We stayed away from the cliched and over-used, "We're committed to Australian farming families, I love a sunburnt country and We’re with you all... the way, and instead opted for a matter of fact approach - you might not know us, but you probably know our work. Drumming home brand recognition and creating connection to the people behind the brand. We featured the team in a playful concept had them engaged in painting their logo on a big canvas at Fox Studios in Sydney. Need to get increase brand recognition for your business? We can help. Our approach at Anvil Media is consultative and strategic. Let’s start with a cup of coffee and go from there. 14.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2004 | Hit play and take a look at one of the many TV commercials we made for BASF Agricultural Solutions in the early 2000s. The Clearfield production system was the pairing of genetics with chemistry, with good product stewardship. Still is. Communicating innovation in agriculture - that's our sweet spot. 14.01.2022 Powerful. Attention-grabbing. Breathtaking. Nothing captures the spectacular Australian agricultural landscape quite like a drone. Michael Neil-Smith the creative director here at Anvil Media says drones are the key tool that brings innovation, scale and perspective to media company’s agricultural clients’ messaging. The video highlights the ability for a drone to capture the scale of an operation as it can pull back showing the big picture. It also gives a video a dynamism... that effectively tells the story of innovation in the agricultural sector. Michael adds. Whether it’s a stand-alone drone video, or used alongside our other video production equipment, our drone aerials will take your video to the next level for not much extra. Get above the earth without costing the earth! To discuss how we can use drones to get your video noticed and tell your story, send us a message today. : Filmed by Michael Neil-Smith and some of our other talented camera operators around the country. Beautifully edited by Aaron Taplin. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
14.01.2022 20 Years of Anvil | 2002 We’re back with another video as part of our 20 Years of Anvil Media series. The year was 2002 when we took to the road to shoot this 30-minute video for farmers about setting up an Environmental Management System for their properties. Filmed Australia-wide for NSW Department of Primary Industries and featuring farmers from the poultry, citrus, seafood, essential oils, beef, and bananas industries. What would we do differently today? Segment it! 30 minutes is a big ask for audiences accustomed to social media. In saying that, there's enough content here to have powered a social media strategy for weeks, had there been such a thing in 2002. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
14.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2009 | Weed awareness. This video formed part of a TV commercial series for NSW Department of Primary Industries. The NS4W (No Space for Weeds) tagline we created is still in use more than a decade later. Fun fact: As the voiceover artist got older, her voice no longer sounded like a kid, so we had to adjust the pitch in post-production more and more with each commercial. It's part of the magic, folks!

07.01.2022 The Australian livestock industry has set an ambitious target to be carbon neutral by 2030, meaning there will be no ‘net release’ of greenhouse gas emissions from production, lot feeding and meat processing across our beef, lamb and goat industries. Individual operations are already well on their way towards the CN30 goal, taking proactive actions to be part of the solution, rather than the problem. If we don’t, who is going to? says Glenn White, Group General Manager of ...Dunkeld Pastoral Company in Victoria. Dunkeld Pastoral Company revisited their Land Management Strategy seven years ago, which included going carbon neutral and has resulted in their operation doubling their red meat and wool production using less land. How did they do it? By focusing on four key carbon neutral pathways 1. Genetics 2. Vegetation and Land Management 3. Lotfeeding 4. Improved productivity It’s about taking the land you’ve got and utilising it to the best of its potential, but in a way that’s sustainable. Hit play to learn more about Dunkeld Pastoral Company’s mission and operation, an inspiring example for what Australian livestock operators are doing on-farm, right now, to fight for our planet. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
04.01.2022 Every soil test starts with a shovel. Throwback to a rainy day in Rand NSW, where we filmed a how-to video on testing for dispersive soil for Grains Research and Development Corporation. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions

02.01.2022 20 years of Anvil | 2008 (Pt 2) | 2008 was the year we produced the definitive educational video about Australia's Great Artesian Basin for the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment . Hosted by the wonderful Hayden Turner, "Water Down Under" covered the history and economic importance of a natural resource that lies under a quarter of the continent. It remains the most comprehensive video about the Basin, and is regularly viewed in school classrooms around the country.
02.01.2022 It’s an investment in safety. As part of a recent project for Grains Research and Development Corporation, we filmed on-farm with WA grower Duncan Young and SafeFarms WA Exec Maree Gooch to talk all things chemical safety. Together, they demonstrated what good on-farm chemical storage and handling looks like and talked through the government legislation growers need to be aware of to comply and protect themselves legally. Hit PLAY to check it out. ... It’s important to note that legislation around chemical safety on-farm varies from state to state, so farmers should consult their state’s Department of Health for advice on how to ensure their farm is legally compliant. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
01.01.2022 20 Years of Anvil | 2003 The year was 2003 when we were engaged to work on the launch of a major new insurance brand, Vero. We developed the concept, likening Vero to a team of specialists (like an orchestra). We assembled an orchestra, recorded the Vivaldi in studio and then had them play to the recording in the park. Vero is still one of Australia's leading insurers. ... LESSONS FOR 2020? Shorter version for social media would be a no-brainer. The duration was suitable for the launch event, and possibly still would be, but this would make great social content. It’s pretty amazing to have observed how social media has become a key consideration in video production over the years. : Featuring voiceover by the legendary Robbie McGregor. #AnvilMedia #StrategicVideoContent #AgVideoSolutions
