25.01.2022 Being on school holidays means I have time to do some different things with my garden. I’d been wanting to do this for a while and finally found all the bits I needed to make it yesterday. Here’s the final product. My first terrarium.

22.01.2022 When we were away for 2 months lots of Golden Orb Weaver spiders made webs around our garden. I think we found 6 all together. There was one right where I kept lots of my plants that were for sale so Mum helped me get them all out because I was too scared. Last weekend she tidied up the area for me, cut back the fruit trees and got rid of the smaller spider webs so now I can use the space again. The big spider is up high enough that she doesn’t really bother me now either.

22.01.2022 A new photo with a chicken. This one may be coming to live at our house because Dad and I are building a chicken coop.

19.01.2022 A while ago, my God mother gave me a beautiful pot on a wooden stand. Last week I spent some time planting it and am really happy with how it turned out. It’s a bit difficult to explain why I have had the pot for as long as I have and not planted it before now, but I get a feeling about when I like to use a particular pot and that’s when I know it’s time. Thank you Laney and I hope you like what I did with the pot. Sorry, but this one is not for sale.

16.01.2022 A little message from Miranda (Anya’s Mum) for all the succulent lovers

16.01.2022 I have been busy potting succulents in between school work and the usual stuff at home. My shop is open just about every day because we are at home. Prices are $5-$25

14.01.2022 I enjoyed doing a custom planting job for a customer in these 2 cute pots. The plants are all happy and healthy and ready to go.

13.01.2022 We made another then and now collage. The red pot was planted in September last year. The top left photo is when it was freshly planted. The grey pot was planted in January this year but we forgot to take a photo (oops). The progress photo was taken in March this year (red pot on the left which is barely visible) and then the current photo shows the plants from the two pots almost joined together. Can you see the red pot? Mum didn’t even know it was there under all that green, on the right of the grey pot! So great to see the plants beautifully happy and healthy. I love how these ones are so wild and free. Thank you Geoff for sharing.

11.01.2022 I did an at home plant maintenance afternoon for a customer a couple of weeks ago which was a great opportunity. If your pots need some maintenance, let me know and I can work out how to help!

07.01.2022 I was very nervous to talk to Jacquie Mackay from the radio but she is a really nice lady and I likes showing her around my garden and telling her about what I’ve been doing.

06.01.2022 In October last year, I was asked to do a custom planting in a pot provided by the customer. This was a little bit challenging for me because I do like to choose what I am going to plant when I feel inspired by and drawn to particular pots or plants. But I did my best and hoped they would be happy. They were kind enough to send me a photo of it hanging in the macrame hanger so I could see it in place which was lovely. Then today, they sent me a beautiful progress photo showing the growth over the last 8 months. It makes me feel really and proud at the same time. I thought I would share with you the before and after photos.

06.01.2022 $5 per pot. Evolvulus Blue Eyes and the white version.

04.01.2022 Thank you to Councillor Neil Fisher for his kind words of encouragement when he came to visit and present my award at my school assembly. It was an honour to have my picture in the paper with Cr Fisher’s weekend gardening article.

03.01.2022 From Anya: Many of you know that we were away from February to April on our big family trip around Australia. We got to Fremantle in Western Australia and then had to come home because of the virus and lockdowns. Since we’ve been home I haven’t spent much time in my garden because I haven’t really felt like it. There were lots of spiders in the garden which I didn’t really like and lots of my plants were overgrown. Also, lots of my plants died from too much water from the rai...n while we were away. I really felt like there was too much to do and I didn’t know where to start or how to start. Mum suggested I could do some potted succulents to sell for Mother’s Day and we talked about why I hadn’t been doing anything in the garden since we’d been home. When I explained how I was feeling she and my sister helped me get out all my plants so they were away from the spiders and I started to repot and redesign the succulent gardens. Once K started I felt good about it and it was easier to do than I thought it was going to be. The Mother’s Day sale went well and I’m going to keep potting and selling from my home plant shop. Thank you for everyone who supported me for the Mother’s Day sale and since I started. See more

03.01.2022 I potted up this one for a customer today. I have been busy starting back at school this term so things have been quiet in the shop. It has been nice to have a couple of little projects like this to work on.

01.01.2022 Geraniums $5 per pot. Growing beautifully, many with buds. Pale pink, pink, red and double pink and white.
