15.01.2022 Fabulous February has been our busiest month Thanks to all for your support! There has been some confusion lately about where we can provide interpreters and some situations that the government is still responsible to provide an interpreter.... We have made these quick and easy checklists and hope it helps

07.01.2022 Family Day for Deaf children with sensory needs is at Tallebudgera Valley Community Centre on 16 January 2021. A quick look at our event just 2 weeks away! Sensory friendly day, all the companies we are using are very flexible and happy to adjust the activities when needed. Tickets need to be booked in advance and we will have a COVID safe plan. See you there!

03.01.2022 Someone asked me the other day; why am I teaching my daughter to sign Auslan? As if it was a negative thing Not only are her grandparents Deaf, our whole life revolves around the Deaf community and I also miss living in a Deaf household with my parents - they live in SA and especially with COVID it’s made it hard to travel Max and I use Auslan at home as much as we can for our children and for our 18 month old she is always happy and feels understood as she can comm...unicate most basic things she needs. If you look at the research for children 0-5 years old being bilingual in English and Auslan I think you would be surprised how beneficial learning a visual language can be. This is little Ivy learning about the birds Always remember Deaf people cannot learn to hear but you can learn to sign Contact us to organise Auslan tutoring with a Deaf Teacher
