10.01.2022 We are very sad to announce the death of a very special man and gym member Rex Kemp, 84. Many of you would have had the pleasure of meeting Rex who had been with us since 2014 and was a true gentleman in every sense of the word with a dry and self deprecating sense of humour. He brought joy to all who knew him and spent his golden years caring for his wife Marlene who he loved dearly. He then used his exercise treatment as a way to care for himself again. He dedicated his life to his family and the rural fire service and a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet. We will miss you dearly Rex, thanks for blessing us with your presence. Rest in peace and don't lose that cheeky smile, love all your friends at AFB

01.01.2022 CONSISTENCY- plan for success and it shall be yours. If you having training goals and you are giving yourself 30 minutes per week to work on them, your journey is going to be a long one! Our top members for the month realise that in order to make the change they are looking for, whether it is bulking, shredding, losing that extra weight before summer or general health and fitness, you MUST be consistent. Use there 4 habits to increase your consistency this month, lets see i...f you can make the top 10 in November! - Plan and schedule your workouts. By creating a repeating schedule that workouts for you each week, you minimise the chances of missing out on a workout. -Be purposeful. Every workout should have a purpose! Consider your goals and focus on quality not quantity of each session. -Follow your plan as best you can. If you plan to do 4 workouts every week, and you make it to 3/4, AMAZING! That is 3 more than if you had no plan. -If you are short on time, do a shorter workout. It may seem simple, but sometimes we feel that if we cannot do an hour workout, we may as well skip it. Rather than missing it altogether, focus on getting a shorter workout done and be proud that you got a session in for that day!
