25.01.2022 Member Achievement Kam has being doing PT with our Trainer Blake, for 9 weeks now, with goals of improving his lower body and core strength. The last couple of sessions Kam's been building to performing goblet squats with good form he's also been smashing his PB for planks week in and week out! 22.01.2022 Welcome our newest member to the team, our PT Blair Blair is finishing his Bachelor in Exercise in Sports Science next month, has his Level 1 in Strength and Conditioning and Sports Medicine, has worked with elite athletes from our local Western Region Academy of Sport program and is excited to join our team and help you achieve your goals. In his spare time he likes to play soccer, downhill mountain bike riding, motocross and adventures in the outdoors and isn't a bad clay target shooter on his family farm. Hip thrusts are surely one of the most popular exercises to build strength and size of the glutes, so we know this new piece of equipment will be much loved and we’re excited to see you all try it next week ... 21.01.2022 As per the Public Health Order and our new Covid plan, masks are to be worn all times in the club unless you are exercising Moments to wear your mask include: entering and leaving the club, talking on the gym floor to members, resting in between sets and essentially anytime you are not exercising so please have your masks on you at all times. It is still a requirement to wear masks when participating in classes. Please also be mindful it is still a requirement to keep social distancing in the club too. Our equipment is spaced apart 1.5m to help make it easy for you 2 sleeps to go

20.01.2022 Em’s Tasty Treats Satay peanut and tofu rice paper rolls Try these out for your next lunch or dinner plans. Easy to make and is sure to impress anyone who tries them! Easily modifiable to suit your flavour preferences. ... 6 sheets of rice paper rice noodles tofu vegetables of choice (I used carrots, cucumber, red and yellow capsicum) coriander peanut butter soy sauce 1. Cut all desired vegetables into long and thin strips 2. Prepare bowl of water for rice paper sheets 3. Cook the rice noodles in boiling water until soft 4. In a pan over medium heat add 1tbsp of olive oil and 1tbsp soy sauce, allow to heat up 5. Add tofu to hot pan and cook until crispy 6. Prepare peanut satay dipping sauce by adding 1tbsp of soy sauce to 1/2cup peanut butter and heat in microwave to melt together, add more soy sauce to reach desired levels of flavour 7. Next assemble all the items in a rice paper sheet and enjoy! #ThursdayTreats

12.01.2022 B R A G B O A R D Meet Sarah Sarah suffered a horrific accident last year which took her leg and she has been rehabing ever since. She has the best attitude and hasn’t let this define her. Since receiving her new prosthetic leg she was able to walk unassisted for 900 meters in just under an hour and now can walk 2.36km around the river in 58 minutes Now THAT is something to brag about! Well done @embrace_87 you’re amazing!

09.01.2022 1. Start low and go slow We know you are just as excited as we are to get back into the gym! But keep in mind that you may find you are not able train as hard or lift the same weight as before (Unless of course you have been able to continue at home as normal) Understand that your body will need to gradually build up strength, muscle and aerobic fitness again depending on your specified training. This could mean decreased load, session time and reps. Think about each rep an...d perform them slowly. This will avoid the risk of injury and burnout! 2. Do not forget the importance of a proper warm up and cool down. This means performing movements specific to your session. Post session gradually bring your heart rate back to normal and stretch! 3. Keep hydrated Sweating helps keep the body cool. To prevent any heat stress, it’s important to drink plenty of water before and after your session to replace fluid so your body performs optimally. Water also helps flush out waste accumulated from exercise. 4. Be kind to yourself! Stepping back into the gym to perform any kind of movement after lockdown alone is a huge accomplishment! Don’t beat yourself up if your body has taken a few steps back. Set some small, achievable goals for yourself. Don’t hesitate to talk to one of our friendly staff about questions you may have or personal training sessions to kick start your fitness journey! We can’t wait to see you all
