04.01.2022 MEMBER OF THE MONTH Congratulations to Connor Gahagan Hi, my name is Connor Gahagan and I’m originally from South Africa, but I moved to Australia about a year and a bit ago. Before I came to Australia, I used to do school sport about 2-3 times a week although, it wasn’t very intense, and it was mainly me just having fun with my mates. However, when I came to Australia, I stopped playing sport for several months because we were settling in and still learning about the c...ulture here. I wanted to improve my fitness a bit but, the school wasn’t providing any sports that I was interested in so, I decided to sign up to Anytime Fitness Cleveland. At first, I was hesitant to go into the gym as I wasn’t familiar with the many different exercises and machines that they provided however, after a bit of research I began to understand different types of exercises and the many different body parts that you can train and work out. Up until the COVID outbreak, I had been going to the gym 5-6 times per week and was mainly training upper body, during this time I didn’t really know many of the people that were going to the gym but, I had seen them there daily. Whilst, we were in lockdown I continued to keep my fitness up through home workouts but, they weren’t anywhere near what I was previously doing because I didn’t have the equipment. However, when things began to re-open, my motivation to go back to the gym skyrocketed and that’s when I started to meet all of the friendly people that attended Anytime Fitness Cleveland as they all helped/taught me how to improve in my workouts in one way or another! QLD health have given the direction that masks are to be worn for the next 10 days when members are: ... Walking through the club Training at low intensity Our club has taken the last 4 days as an opportunity to not just go back to basics but to implement every measure possible ensuring the health and wellness of our community continues inside our facility. As usual, all members must use a towel and wipe down all stations with anti-bacterial wipes provided before and after use, we ask that all members be respectful towards club staff and show patience over the next few days as we continue to work tirelessly to respond to all enquiries from current and non members.
