18.01.2022 Hi Anytimers, I sadly say goodbye to you all as I take on a new project at another Anytime Fitness Club which had long delays in getting their approval to open, had only a 3 week build time and was opened only a few weeks ago. I have enjoyed my chats, my hi's and farewells to you all and I wish everyone of you all the very best in your future health and fitness goals. You are of course still in good hands with Joel, our Club Manager and of course Rob & Leon in PT & Freya & her magnificent massages to relax you after a hard workout. Take care & keep training hard, I will be checking up on the progress through FB & want to see another posting of Daniel Tinaro & his superb results he is achieving, a true inspiration to all other fellow members. 10.01.2022 We are pleased to announce the opening of 3 new Clubs in the U.K. City of London (Aldgate) has opened along with Loudwater (Buckinghamshire). Julian Matthews the U.K. Master Partner opened his first Anytime Fitness in High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire) also. There are now 26 Anytime Fitness clubs open in the United Kingdom, and 1 in Ireland. Congratulations to Team U.K.! You now have access to 331 clubs in Australia and 2457 Worldwide...so you can even train whilst on holidays to balance any over indulgence! :-)

06.01.2022 Does Muscle weigh the same as Fat? Ever start a workout program only to find the scale doesn't budge (or actually goes up)? Both cardiovascular exercise and resistance training can build muscle and reduce fat, so just because the pounds don’t change doesn't mean all that exercise is going to waste. And because muscle has a much greater density (it takes up less volume than an equal mass of fat), it’s possible to get visibly slimmer without a significant drop in weight. A comm...on fitness misconception is that a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat. False! a pound is a pound (of feathers, glass, rocks, apples...you name it). But because a pound of fat takes up about three to four times the space of muscle tissue, it’s possible to look and feel trimmer even if body weight remains the same. Also, muscle boosts a person’s metabolism, so a kilo of muscle will burn more calories at rest than a kilo of fat. What does this mean? Even when you’re not exercising you could be sitting on the couch watching TV or even sleeping you will be burning more calories just by having more muscle. So while it’s a myth that muscle weighs more than fat, too much body fat can be a contributing factor to serious health conditions like stroke, coronary disease and diabetes. And though it’s difficult to determine the ideal amount of body fat for each individual, too little fat can also have unhealthy consequences, including reproductive dysfunction in women.
