25.01.2022 STILL YOUR 24/7 GYM! Members , thank you for your overwhelming support in our decision to remain 24/7 after the new regulations . It has been quite an effort over the past few days recruiting new team members & organizing Professional Contract Marshalls so we have no interruption to your membership. ... Instead of shortening our hours , we are taking all these proactive steps so our members still get the full benefit of their membership. It all comes at huge expense , but you are worth it ! We are also running a competition! When our staff or trainers are not on site , we have our Professional Hygiene Marshalls (same ones that work at the NRL), they are easily identifiable in uniform inside the facility. If you are able to SNAP A SELFIE with them & tag us in an insta story you go into the running to win a daily prize. The best one per week will receive $50 membership credit ! 19.01.2022 #unsunghuman Our first unsung human is Kelvin Le! He was nominated by a friend. Were so proud and honoured to have a person like Kelvin in our AF Menai Fam. Read his nomination below and share some love I am nominating my friend, Kelvin Le, as he has a strong passion in being involved and contributing to the community. He is extensively involved in his Vietnamese community in South Australia and is involved in organising public events for the community to cele...brate annual traditions in the Vietnamese calendar such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and Vietnamese New Year. The community also hosts a Saturday school that teaches Year 1-10 maths in which, for the last 3 years, he has taught maths to classes of up to 20 students as a volunteer. With his background in healthcare, he has volunteered over 300 hours in the last 3 years with St John Ambulance in providing first aid to the general public at community events and games. More recently, he left his family and friends behind in South Australia and moved to Sydney in April to work with NSW Ambulance as a paramedic to support the NSW community during the COVID pandemic. Being the state with the highest number of confirmed cases in Australia, he believed it was his duty as a paramedic to support the frontlines in NSW and protect the most vulnerable people in the community during these precarious times. One of the reasons he was reluctant about leaving South Australia to move to NSW was actually leaving his gym as it is SA-based so he isnt able to bring his membership over to NSW. Being isolated and away from friends and family, Im hoping that a gym membership and exercise will help him maintain a healthy lifestyle and cope with the stresses of shift work as a paramedic once restrictions are lifted. Kelvin is my nomination as an unsung human because he doesnt volunteer and serve his community for recognition; being in the frontlines exposed to violence and assault, the work of the paramedic is often thankless. His motivation is always looking to utilise his skills and knowledge to support his community, and those less fortunate.

09.01.2022 #unsunghuman A big congratulations to our second Unsung Human Kali Kali was nominated by her husband and is a true inspiration to us here Take a read of her nomination below and show some love I nominate Kali Herb, Kali is a Primary school teacher who has been working tirelessly during this whole period to ensure the children at her school are kept educated, she has demonstrated this through continuing Zoom video chats with students & parents during the school holi...days in her time off to ensure they are coping ok & checking on there mental health. Kali also started a dancing podcast to keep the dancing community informed & inspired by conducting interviews with professional dancers, studio owners & upcoming young dancers and TV stars, this have provided a lot of young dancers in the community with some inspiration through this difficult time, it has been an extremely successful podcast with over 3000 downloads in a short period of time & all costs have come out of her own pocket as there is no income made in podcasts. She has definitely given her all during this difficult period to ensure students & young dancers are kept Positive, educated & inspired. See more

04.01.2022 Important update After the NSW Governments need to Hygiene Marshall on site at all times we have scrambled over the past 24 hours. We value our members and dont want to rush any immediate change on you.... The club owner has organized a combination of increasing our current staffed hours plus also utilizing the services of a security company to remain as a 24 hour operation for the immediate future. We will review this every 2 weeks to make sure it is still viable as it does come at a large expense. You will see some new faces around the gym , please make them feel welcome . Enjoy your workouts
