You have all been so understanding and supportive of the new guidelines that we have to follow to ensure our facility is the safest in the community. We have received a lot of questions in regards to the the Queensland Health regulations for the next ten days, especially around mask wearing here is some helpful information: All members must wear a mask travelling to and from the gym, throughout the club at all times and d...uring your workouts, EXCEPT when the member is engaging in strenuous physical exercise. Remember your towel must be present for every session. Sanitize your hands entering and leaving the facility Wipe down your equipment before and after using. Follow social distancing advice. If you have any concerns please see a member of our staff.

Goal is to have the bar sitting close to the shins so weight is sitting in the glutes during lifting Further in front the bar is, more were going to put excess pressure on the spine . WHAT ARE MY HAMSTRINGS DOING? We want the hamstrings to be under tension to assist in the facilitation of the movement. Strong eccentric strength in hamstrings is key to a great lift! . WHY IS MY BACK SORE? The lower back is used to assist with moving the weight however good technique helps to make sure there is not excessive load placed there.
