07.01.2022 Just a reminder that this year's Melbourne Rare Book Week and Fair have been cancelled. A statement from our Program Director and Convener: Dear friends and sup...porters of Melbourne Rare Book Week It is with great sadness that I inform you that Rare Books Melbourne has yesterday taken the inevitable decision that Melbourne Rare Book Week 2020 will not go ahead, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Our best advice is that the threat posed by COVID-19 is expected to persist for at least another 6 months, and so, like many other cultural festivals, we have had to take the decision not to hold our festival of all things book and printed word this year. This decision is taken primarily with the health and safety of all our partners and attendees in mind. Some of you may have heard that our friends at ANZAAB decided on Monday to cancel both the Melbourne Book Fair planned for July and the Sydney Book Fair planned for October. Rather than saying that MRBW2020 had been cancelled, we are choosing to say that it has been postponed until 2021, by which time we all hope that the threat of the COVID-19 virus will have been overcome. Our provisional dates for MRBW2021 will be July 9th to July 18th 2021. We urge all of you to take note of the dates for your 2021 diary. We plan to make 2021 a bumper year as it represents the 10th anniversary of Melbourne Rare Book Week. On behalf of Rare Books Melbourne, I would like to thank you all for your continuing support of Melbourne Rare Book Week. For the Love of Books Chris Browne Program Director and Convener, Director Melbourne Rare Book Week

07.01.2022 Repost from @rareillustratedbooks using @RepostRegramApp - A rare and astonishing French art deco design portfolio inspired by butterflies of the world.
