16.01.2022 Last week our Executive Director was in the beautiful and rapidly transforming city of Guadalajara, Mexico to speak at the ISPA conference there. The University of Guadalajara, founded in 1791, Mexico's second largest with 280,000 students over six metropolitan campuses and others in the centres regions of the state of Jalisco, hosted the Conference at its magnificent new Santander Performing Arts Centre which features four theatres and five cinemas. Tireless host and organ...iser, Igor Lozada and his team did a magnificent job. Justin joined old friends Mariana Aymerich, Director of the famed Cervantino Festival and Octavio Arbelaéz, long term Director of the Manizales Festival in Colombia and newly of the Costa Rica International Arts Festival on a panel to discuss the programming and curatorial eye on Latin America. Justin's view especially was as seen from outside the continent over 30 of collaborating there in his role as secretary of the Australia Latin America Foundation See more

12.01.2022 Of all the crazy acts, this is the craziest

03.01.2022 A highlight of the year for us at Anzarts is our Xmas party when we gather friends and colleagues from near and far for a little festive cheer. This week was no exception and we find always that friends are reunited often after many years. That is the true joy of the season for us and here are just a few photos of some of our favourite guests to prove it. Photos courtesy of Pam Thornton

01.01.2022 While in Guadalajara our Executive Director was also invited to join discussions initiated by Professor Ruth Bereson, Dean Creative Arts Engagement at Griffith University with the Rector of the College of Arts, Architecture and Design of the University of Guadalajara (Dr Francisco Gonzalez M), leading members of the Film and Sound School and the University's arts and international relations staff. The University aims to be Mexico's most innovative and dynamic in a wide spectrum of disciplines. Certainly, its work in design, fashion and the traditional theatre arts is most impressive while those in the digital domain are cutting edge. In all, it was a very exciting start for what we hope can be a variety of partnerships between Australian and Mexican artists and scholars over many levels.
