17.01.2022 Thanks to our guest Kim Klaka for capturing this amazing mum and calf moment on yesterdays whale watching cruise. What a shot!!!

13.01.2022 Some species of whales and dolphins possess brain cells known as spindle neurons, believed to be associated with empathy and emotional intelligence People use...d to think that these cells were only found in the brains of humans and a few other primates! Some individuals have specific roles within their communities as leaders and innovators, just like us. And, like us, they have the right to live in a world where they are safe and free The more we discover, the more we are inspired and humbled. The more we learn, the more our human-centric view of the world is challenged as we realize our responsibilities towards other intelligent beings with whom we share our blue planet.

12.01.2022 Few of these still getting around! #bluespotcod #aka #coraltrout #wanderoutyonder #broome #broomefishing #absoluteoceancharters

10.01.2022 Fish pics from the last couple of days. 16 and 17th Aug.

10.01.2022 A rare sight around #broome Yesterday we were investigating some #humpbackwhales behaving erratically. Doing lobtailing and aggressive peck slapping. We discovered they were with a small pod of False Killer Whales, no wonder they were acting up! #wanderoutyonder

10.01.2022 As a kid I always wondered why sea turtles were particularly susceptible to dying from eating plastic trash. It didn't really make sense to me, because even tho...ugh sea turtles eat jellyfish, there's other animals that primarily eat jellyfish, like mola. Penguins and sharks, tuna, swordfish and other fish also eat jellyfish. But they don't seem to have as big of a problem with plastic bags as turtles do. Also, all species of sea turtles are susceptible to being killed by plastic trash, even the ones that primarily ocean plants. It turns out that it's because turtles can't easily throw up because of their unique food filtering system. So they're one of the only animals that are forced to eat the trash, and then are unable to get rid of it. That explains a lot. Credit : Anatomika Science https://instagram.com/anatomika.science
