13.01.2022 What exactly is the elephant in the room? Great question. It’s that thing that is killing your relationship.... It’s that thing that is driving a wedge between you and your partner. It’s that thing that is causing you to argue with the person that you love. It’s that thing that is making you so unhappy that you don’t know what to do next. Its that thing that is making your life miserable because you are at loggerheads with your partner. Ok Ok. What is it I hear you ask. It’s called your BUSINESS. That’s right your Busyness is tearing you apart and changing the way you look at and treat each other. Let me tell you this. This is not the time when you should be falling apart. This is the time when you need to be working together and getting through this challenging time. Life is so much better when you are getting along and working together. Why? Because it won’t last for ever. PS I am not being insensitive just real. What is your vision for the future of your business when this all goes away; the world goes back to normal and people stop living in fear and insecurity? No vision equals no future. Let me tell you this from my own experience that this is much easier when it is tackled by a cohesive team rather than a divided team. When you work together on your business you will create your future. Here are 7 easy steps for you to implement straight away that will help to start moving you in the right direction and getting you back together again. STEP 1: You both have to take 100 percent responsibility for where you and your business are right now and stop playing the blame game with each other. STEP 2: Rediscover your WHY? STEP 3: Create your new vision. STEP 4: Design your mission. STEP 5: Have clearly defined job roles for each other. STEP 6: Hold regular Board meetings with each other at work not at home. STEP 7: Enjoy life away from the business. These are just a few of the strategies that I introduce to the couples I coach which have the biggest impact immediately. The reality is that it is too hard to be in business on your own or fighting with your partner.
