16.01.2022 The beloved Helen Wood By the time I made it to Florida to do my advanced training with Helen I knew that after over 10 years it was time to return home to the northern rivers to share these gifts. Long before this the Virgo in me had already planned out a life of social welfare work, I had studied and practiced Counselling, worked with families and children in the Kimberley and had been getting colonics for almost 9 years. ... It was 2015 in NYC when it hit me, post enema in my Brooklyn Airbnb. I had a very clear vision of myself teaching others to give enemas and other self care practices from home, what followed was much more colourful than I had envisioned. I returned to Australia to learn the closed method and continued to work as a therapist in Sydney. I always knew that there was more to colonics, i had witnessed it more times than I can count and found it to be life changing both personally and professionally. As for myself, I have dappled in years of clinical therapy, mainstream medical treatments, natural therapies, spiritual work, trainings, study, bodywork, ceremonies, purging, you name it, I’ve probably tried it. Further down the track I was called back to the states to train with Helen and I really can’t put into words how invaluable that was for me on so many levels, not just because of what I learnt but it highlighted that every step I had taken up to this point had lead me there. I felt myself tapping into deeper layers of this ancient healing modality and the wisdom we all embody. I could literally see and feel the layers of trauma, conditioning, silencing, shame and toxicity being released. But who is Helen? Helen Woods trained and gave colonics to Dr. Robert Woods, the creator of the Woods Gravity Method. When Dr Woods passed in 1988 he asked Helen to continue teaching in his honour. People ask me where I trained to give colonics and the answer isn’t linear, I have learnt techniques from a variety of teachers but mostly from life and it’s many lessons. This isn’t just another health trend or phase. Colon cleansing is an ancient healing method that goes as far back is 1500 B.C. It’s holy and sacred !

03.01.2022 Every emotion or feeling has it’s place. Feeling and having a range of different emotions, experiencing good days and bad, feeling the ups and the downs are all NORMAL (also called being human), expressing and acknowledging them is healthy and necessary. We have literally been brainwashed over time to believe that sensitivity and feeling deeply is a weakness and it couldn’t be further from the truth. Let’s break this down, feeling a particular emotion that holds a negative c...onnotation is not bad, wrong, or mean there’s something wrong with you and you most certainly don’t need fixing. This stands for both men and women. Discovering healthy and cathartic outlets that feel good for you and your body, creating or finding safe spaces to communicate freely and speak your truth in a nonjudgmental and unbiased space is vital. This will not look the same for everybody and that’s also ok, finding what works for you is all part of the journey. Again, if you need support in doing so, reach out, support is always here. So much love to all of you brave feelers See more

03.01.2022 Letting go, it’s a continuous practice. On days where is harder than usual (today is one of those days for me). I’m doing to put my feet in the ocean, rest my eyes, get present in my body, notice how to feels to have the sun touch my skin and radiate into my being, do some diaphragmatic breathing and listen to a yoga nidra by the magical @goinmeditations. I was extremely introverted and lacked self worth growing up and it took me a long time to make peace with that, I am st...ill finding my strength and voice but it’s a constant practice for me as I loosen my grip on how I saw and labelled myself for so long. It’s really hard for me to share my heart publicly but I know very well that when we do it makes it feel safer for others to do the same. Sharing our voices to feel more connected with others and acknowledging the humanness in us all, sharing in service to increase a sense of community and reducing feelings of isolation. I’m approaching 31 and admit that I’m still working on not being ashamed of my feelings, thoughts, emotions or my past. Even when I say this feelings of shame creep in telling me that I should know better and that i must have complete control of my life in order to be able to support others through it but it’s just not the case because, life, ya know. It’s confronting, messy, harsh but it’s also really really beautiful and I will continue to come back to love and to live from this place regardless. Finding ways to self soothe is key, you are not alone.
