25.01.2022 Kindness begins with the understanding that we all struggle... 21 year old Californian, Janice Girardi saw the struggle of the beautiful Bali dog on her first visit to the island back in 1973, and with a kindness that knew no bounds, she soon-after made Bali her new home, unwilling to abandon her rescued Kintamani Bali dog. Now, some 47 year later, Janice continues to shine hope on the island’s struggling, neglected, abused and unwanted animals. Janice founded BAWA (Bali An...imal Welfare Association) formally in 2007, but had been rescuing animals ever since arriving to the island. A talented, award-winning and internationally-recognised artist, Janice also supports BAWA through her sterling silver and gemstone jewellery company, Janice Girardi Designs.
