24.01.2022 What do you think? Could be a good project to memorialize the time we're living through.

23.01.2022 I was checking out an article on sorting fabric. Look at the pop-up ad that came up at the bottom of the page. How do they know I need a 40 container for my stash??

17.01.2022 Visitor to Apatchy today bit off more than he could chew. That's a lizard's tail hanging out of his mouth in the first photo. It took him four hours sitting on the fence before it was digested and get could fly away. Pace yourself next time son.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to Pat Cartwright for winning the Apatchy Quilting Challenge Viewers' Choice prize with her beautiful bag. Entrants had to take inspiration from a set page in a magazine. Pat got fish curry as her page!

16.01.2022 A lot of businesses think they have the best customers but they're kidding themselves. They should meet the Apatcheez. This arrived today anonymously... Well I might have a little clue. Thanks Pam.

10.01.2022 I could fill those shelves easily!

10.01.2022 It has come to our attention that part of the pattern for the BOM Quilters Holiday Part 3, that appears in HSP21.3, is missing - half a cloud and part of some ...flowers - from both the paper pattern in the printed magazine and the online version (circled in red in the image). We have rectified the entire pattern sheet and can be downloaded here: http://ow.ly/dWcz50zWcWk Apologies for any inconvenience. The Homespun team

10.01.2022 I hope everyone is staying well during these strange times. Another week without classes and I am feeling the need to turn the coffee machine on at least! I saw a post that said, "as quilters weve been preparing for this for decades". Have a great time reducing your stash. As the Bernina CEO says "Inspiration Creation Communication". Dont forget to share your projects. Stay safe. Ill be here when you get back.

08.01.2022 We had to say goodbye to our beloved Pozzie today. Thanks to the BVSC The Animal Hospital, especially Gemma and Hannah for trying to make him better over the past two weeks. He was a prince among dogs and our hearts are broken.

07.01.2022 There has been some confusion over recent days regarding our classes. I have been following the Coronavirus updates closely and, at this stage, classes will continue. In light of the growing public-health concern, and in an effort to prioritize our health and wellness, I would ask that anyone who feels sick to please refrain from coming to Apatchy until you are sure all of your symptoms are completely gone. While here we will practise good hygiene as per government directives. If any of you feel that it is prudent to stay at home due to existing medical issues then I totally understand. Your place at Apatchy is safe and will be here when the world returns to normal. If any further directives are made on a government level then we will follow them absolutely. I am monitoring this on a daily basis. Happy Quilting Kaye

07.01.2022 Also congratulations to Lesli McCloskey for runner up in the Apatchy Quilting Challenge Viewers' Choice with her Aladdin magic carpet. I have shown a detail as well as the inspiration magazine page.

06.01.2022 Brenda Wood is looking for help with items for Caboolture Hospital. Can anyone help? THIS IS A GENUINE REQUEST FOR A BRISBANE HOSPITAL 23 / 3 -------------------- CAN YOU HELP PLEASE ? COTTON SCRUB CAPS needed!... Ive had a serious urgent request from a friend of mine who happens to be involved in all things to do with Caboolture Hospital. She has asked can we band together and create her gowns and scrub hats ! They are in desperate need as the turnaround between washing and reusing is greater than the small supply they have. If anyone is interested in making some can we start with the scrub caps please General Scrub caps - I have included a .pdf file that will fit onto A4 paper for you to print out The include file is one I have written and is double sided and suitable to be made in small and large. You can choose which size you make. Hospital Double sided scrub cap with contrast band. https://www.2sewtextiles.com.au//hospital-double-sided-scr Go to https://www.facebook.com/TwoSew/ for the pattern if it is not attached here. Man/Short hair Scrub Cap If you want to make tighter fit scrub caps for men (or those with short hair) there is a great video tutorial and download pattern here: The pattern is from Man Sewing and the man sewing knows what he is doing its quite a good demo! Click on the links below: Mans Sewing video guide to how to sew the mans/short hair scrub cap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZykGWQ6iNuQ Mans/short hair skull cap pattern download. https://www.missouriquiltco.com//as/skully-cap---final.pdf When I locate a pattern from the scrubs I will post that(unless one of you has a good link to one ??) For the Face masks here in Brisbane they are still requiring an impervious material that they are trying to source I am happy to do a pick up and drop off for bulk lots, or you can take them to the front of the Caboolture hospital (they will come outside if needs be) #covid19 #corona #scrubBrisbane #Brisbane #Austalia #Caboolture #2sew #sewing #free #freepattern #virus #hospital #supportourcarers

05.01.2022 Come and see us 9.00am to 7.00pm at Gatton's premier craft show!

04.01.2022 Unfortunately I am going to have to suspend Apatchy classes due to the coronavirus. Due to the events of recent days with rapid infection rates and state borders being closed the situation has become more urgent and I couldnt bear to have anyone get sick because they came to one of my classes. Obviously I dont know how long this will continue but I will look at ways to stay in touch with my lovely Apatcheez. I will be open this week for people to collect any supplies they m...ight need for the forthcoming weeks and will let you know if an order comes for you. My website will still be operational and you can always email me if you need something that is not shown. It has been a very difficult decision to make. I considered smaller classes and byo snacks, but after discussing it with several of my ladies, many of us are in the danger group and if I cant guarantee your health then it just isnt worth it to continue. I have already set up a private group of people that were self-isolating and I will add you if I know you have facebook so we can at least keep in touch. I am very sorry that it has come to this but I have to put all our health first. See more

03.01.2022 Isnt this a beautiful quilt!

01.01.2022 Also congratulations to Lesli McCloskey for runner up in the Apatchy Quilting Challenge Viewers Choice with her Aladdin magic carpet. I have shown a detail as well as the inspiration magazine page.
