How does it prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria? And are there any other benefits to it? For those of you counting, I'm at course 8 out of 18 over 3 years! - (Yes, with assignments and exams!) Over these courses, Dr. Erik is learning the great philosophy of stopping/correcting habits, treating early, and using facial growth to help with, not only straighter teeth, but also beautiful faces and smiles!! Sometimes, waiti...ng for braces as teenagers/adults can potentially mean more difficult/longer treatment, pulling teeth out, surgery, and less stable results. So what is the best age to start? 14.01.2022 Our cross infection control measures during this time of COVID 19 has increased to be in line with the new recommendations. The current guidelines are: 1. Personal potective equipment (protective eyewear, gloves, surgical face mask) 2. Hand scrubing before procedures... 3. Alcohol-based hand rub for patients on arrival and after treatment 4. 1% Hydrogen Peroxide mouthrinse 30s before dental treatment 5. Social distancing of 1.5 metres between each other 6. Regular wiping down of surface including reception table, chairs and door handles 7. Restricting aerosol generating procedures to emergencies only with rubber dam and high volume suction 8. Restrictions to patients who have had contact with COVID 19 or travelled overseas or have flu like symptoms over teh past 14 days Don't worry, we are still OPEN. 13.01.2022 Did you see the latest update from the CEO of Woolworths? An interesting fact: Two of our highest growth categories this week have been cake mixes and household cleaning products. Does this mean our diet is getting sweeter and stickier? Remember, it is now the most important time to maintain a healthy diet for our bodies and teeth (especially when most dentists are only open emergencies, and we have to limit our movements!).... 1. Keep moving (!) and try exercise at home 2. Limit our snacking 3. Maintain a good TOOTHBRUSHING regime, especially at night 4. ?Maybe look for different ways to pass the time other than baking cakes? Being in the dental profession, should I be 'grateful' that we have ample supply of toothpastes and toothbrushes for everyone in our area?... ...or...... 'disappointed' that these are not considered essential items to stock up at home (even at 30% - 50% OFF) during this time......

It really helps especially for the palate injections, which can be the most uncomfortable.
