Participation is as per the intent of the Queensland Government’s Immediate Industry Recovery Package to provide support for small businesses economically impacted by COVID-19. To be eligible for workshops, a business must: self-identify to have been economically impacted by COVID-19; have fewer than 20 employees on 1 January 2020; have an Australian Business Number (ABN); and not have an owner or director who is an undischarged bankrupt or insolvent. 15.01.2022 The ATO released the details of the Alternative Decline in Turnover Test rules for the JobKeeper payment yesterday. These tests apply to businesses that are not eligible for the payment according to the original criteria. This could be for several reasons e.g. high growth businesses, newly formed entity with less than 12 months trading etc.... 12.01.2022 JOB KEEPER PAYMENT The largest financial package in Australia's history has been passed in Parliament. Here is what you need to know:... Businesses affected by COVID-19 can receive $1500 per employee, per fortnight The business MUST pass the pamyent on to their staff The wage subsidy has been budgeted for up to 6 months ONLY Casual employees less than 12 months DO NOT qualify and will need to apply for the JOB SEEKER payment. You must have been employed with your employer as at March 1st 2020 (including those who were stood down and subsequently rehired) You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a special category visa The $1500 per fortnight is a GROSS payment.
