20.01.2022 Thanks to all that gave their assistance for a extremely successful event. A special thanks to Bec, Angie and the rest of the team from MITEV. Robbie Katter & Bob Katter for their donations, Lisa & Neil, Rob & Dusty from Lions for their assistance in the cooking. A special thanks goes to our wives, partners and families. Without these people's assistance Gunfire Breakfast would not be the success that it was.
20.01.2022 The Apex club of Mount Isa will be putting on their traditional gunfire breakfast after the ANZAC Day Dawn Service for veterans, family, friends, emergency services and the community. Made possible with the help of Leichhardt Lions Club and Mount Isa City Council for their generous donation of the downstairs auditorium of the civic centre.

06.01.2022 We may need to look into this
05.01.2022 On Friday night Sue and I had the pleasure of attending the 1500th dinner meeting of Apex Club of Townsville, where I was sworn in as Regional Communicator for our region. (For those of you that were Apexians, the old term was District Governor). Our region covers as far down as Mackay, over to Mount Isa, and up to Cairns. Sadly there is only 3 clubs left in this entire area. I had the opportunity to meet the Herbert River Apex president, Michael Nash, and find out a little about their club. Congratulations to the Townsville club on making this milestone and I look forward to working with all 3 clubs together towards many more milestones. John Davis
04.01.2022 Mount Isa Apex Club will be having their first meeting after Christmas on Monday 23/1/17 at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the Mount Irish Club private dining room. If you are between the ages of 18 and 45 and interested in helping in your community please come along, to see what Mount Isa Apex Club is all about.
04.01.2022 It is the decision that Mount Isa Apex Club has been trying to avoid for weeks. But with the uncertainty of what we can do with the performers and general public to ensure everyone’s health and safety it is now apparent that we must postpone the show. This decision was made with a lot of angst and much discussion on a possible work around to the existing rules on Corona virus. As a club we didn’t want to get the kids excited for a show that might not happen and the welfare o...f the community is our main concern. Apex Mount Isa puts on a cheap family fun night so all the kids can be a perform in front of their parents, grandparents and family friends. Apex has set a date the for the Rock Pop Mime show for next year which will be the 15th of October 2021. Apex would like to thank the community for their understanding and support though these difficult times and we hope to see you all at next years show. Apex would also like to thank all the sponsors that had already committed their assistance for this year’s show. Sincerely Robert Davis Rock Pop Mime Show Chairman
04.01.2022 It’s Apex Week and it is a fitting time to reflect on our proud history. Apex was established almost 90 years ago by three young architects from Geelong: Ewen L...aird, Langham Proud and John Buchan, who were inspired to help others during the time of the Great Depression. Apex was born on the 10th March, 1931, when the name Apex, meaning the height of ambition, was adopted and the Apex Club of Geelong came into being. The Ideals of the fledgling organisation were formulated: to make the ideal of service the basis of all enterprise, to develop by example a more intelligent and aggressive citizenship, to provide a means of forming enduring friendships, rendering altruistic service and building better communities, and to promote international understanding and friendship. The three sides of the Apex triangle represent citizenship, service and fellowship, with the rays of the rising sun symbolic of the rising generation of youth. Over the decades Apex has transformed communities at a grass roots level: without Apex, many towns would lack a park, a playground, a look-out or a swimming pool. Apex has also contributed on a greater scale, through raising millions of dollars for causes such as the Royal Flying Doctors, Autism, Craniofacial Surgery, disadvantaged children and families affected by cancer. Apex continues to be a gateway for people looking to make a difference in their community, meeting new people and making friends. If you are looking for a sense of purpose, to help others and have fun at the same time, then Apex is for you. Talk to an Apexian today about joining Apex! See more
01.01.2022 To Mount Isa Community Clubs and Vendors Mount Isa Apex Club would like to invite you to provide food at the Rock Pop Mime Show. Rock Pop Mime Show has been an annual event for the last 25+ years, providing the community a great show with food and drinks available for the community to purchase. The show last year won the Australia Day Community Event of the Year here in Mount Isa. We had approximately 7000-7500 people attending the event and almost 500 children doing their b...est dancing and miming. Gates open at 5pm, with the event itself starting at 7pm. People are always at the event early and waiting at the gates to get the best spots and be in to get the food before the show starts. In previous years Apex has provided everything from the setup to the pack up and everything else in between. This year we have, as a club, decided to outsource the food stalls. We decided that the best way, and the fairest way was to ask local clubs and vendors to put forward an expression of interest. If you are interested in getting an expression of interest form please send an email to the below email address and we will email a copy to you to be submitted as quickly as possible. If there is any proposed stalls for the same food product the first vendor to get their form in will be the ones to provide that food. We will contact any double applicants to allow the second applications to resubmit for a different food product. We would like to cover different flavours, different food needs, and different styles. Terms will be discussed with all stall holders once all expressions of interest forms have been submitted. Any other questions that you have please contact [email protected] Thanks for your interest Sue Davis Apex Mount Isa See more
