21.01.2022 At Apex Contracting, we understand that everyone is living a busy lifestyle, to accomodate for it, we have been working saturdays and sundays to keep everyone happy Initially we responded to a tripping safety switch, further investigation proved that the power circuit running from the house to the sullage tank had a fault underground. A couple of weeks later, here we are.

21.01.2022 One of our last major projects before the year finishes. Undergrounds are in and switchboard is ready for power. Waiting for frames and a roof to go on before we are back for this beautiful house build!... Looking forward to seeing what master piece we can create here!

21.01.2022 Anyone else hate waiting for their tennis court lights to warm up? I know we would - if we had one! Have a look at these beauties! Haneco Lighting 200w led PARX flood light fittings to replace some old existing 1000w metal halide fittings.... Not only a massive power saving, (All 4 lights use less power then 1 of the old fittings) but they dont need time to heat up when turned on, or cool down once turned off and on again. Another happy client! SIDE NOTE: Getting the scissor lift into this area was quite a challenge, we had to cut some of the fencing back and drive it through. Getting it out was even more complicated - luckily the work ute is fitted with an electric winch! Weve also set up a panic switch in this home, located in the main bedroom. 18.01.2022 !!!!!!!!FIRE HAZARD BEWARE!!!!!! It is important to understand posing risks when it comes to electrical and lighting. One of the items typically found in houses to be aware of is the dangers of halogen down lights, these lights get extremely hot when left turned on for a period of time. ... A job we attended today had halogen down lights throughout the house, although theyve been used for many years without a problem, a few of the lights we beginning to heat insulation and timber framing We strongly recommend replacing any halogen down lights with LED down lights as they run much cooler and do not pose a fire hazard. 16.01.2022 Can Switchboard Upgrade out of 10! Thinking its time to upgrade your switchboard from old fuses? Nows a great time to do it! Something we are striving to achieve at Apex Contracting (QLD) is upgrading consumers switchboards to incorporate safety switches on all sub circuits.... Theres a few good reasons to do this, mainly being safe when dealing with any types of cabling. By using safety switches on each sub circuit, you are minimising the risk of electrocution when cutting or drilling in drywall, working in ceilings or renovating areas within the house. As pictured below, every circuit in this switchboard has its own circuit breaker/safety switch combination. Meaning all electrical cabling in this house hold is protected other than the cable coming in from the road. 08.01.2022 A recent task set by a client was replacement of some old and outdated driveway lighting, that had been causing some issues (Tripping circuits/Not working all the time). After some testing, it was decided that replacement was the best option to fix the problem. As well as replacing the driveway lighting, we were asked to install a 7 day timer to control this lighting. These lights are now set to a morning and night schedule and we have a very happy client.... 01.01.2022 During a recent fitoff of a house, we had clients having a hard time finding a hanging fitting for their new kitchen. They started by sending some photos of different fittings, none of which suited their needs. After chasing a few lighting suppliers for options, we decided - lets build our own. With some help, we managed to supply and install this monster of a hanging light.
