25.01.2022 Here's another tip for learning English. Watch DVDs or Streamed programs rather than TV. Its better to use something that you can watch over again to catch information you might have missed the first time. Watching TV only gives you the chance to hear something correctly first time. This is better for high level students. It can be great practice for speaking to native English speakers so you dont have to ask them to repeat themselves!

13.01.2022 Here are a couple of tips for learning English. Give yourself a long term goal. Focus on working towards it. Give yourself short term goals too and reward yourself when you achieve each one.
12.01.2022 Do you try and use long, difficult to spell, unfamiliar words in your English expression (speaking and writing). It's not necessary to use (and know) the meaning of EVERY English word. But, it can be useful in some cases. For example (and it's an easy example) instead of saying/writing 'the four-legged animal that barks and which many people have as pets' every time, we use the word 'dog'. Another, slightly more difficult word is 'perpendicular' which means a vertical line,... or standing up straight. The word might be difficult but it's faster than writing 6 or 7 words. The meaning usually uses simple, everyday words. So, only learn the words that you need to use. Oh, and never use words that you (or your friends/colleagues do not know the meaning of. You might 'sound' knowledgeable, but if you use a word in the wrong place, you just will sound silly. See more
