16.01.2022 Working on so many different types of water bodies, you occasionally come across the weird and unusual- on a relatively recent dredging project on a remote farm we captured this stunning shot of the lagoon as it returned back to a healthy state. The luminescent pink colour is caused by bacteria as it breaks down organic material. Through the process of dredging, excess suspended sediment was removed from the lagoon allowing the good bacteria to flourish and in turn allowing the lagoon to operate as intended -as a mostly self-sustaining wastewater pond. #dredging#Australiadredging

Set on the foreshore, the site presented some unique challenges to the project team (Airey Taylor and Vital building ),from its limited access, to the steep gradient, to the most challenging factor- the narrow working area. 13.01.2022 On a recent visit back to a dewatering project (completed in 2020), our team found our GeoPro dewatering tubes still in situ. Having decreased in height since our last visit due to the continuous dewatering of the sludge.
