24.01.2022 Have you changed your Yahoo password and security information? Yahoo was hacked in 2013 and advised that only a third of their accounts were compromised. However they have now disclosed that all 3 billion of their accounts were compromised. If you haven't already done so change your password. 22.01.2022 Have you recently received alot of spam? or getting email bounce backs that you never sent? There's a good chance that your email has been compromised. One quick way you can check is to go to https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and put your email address in. This will check if your email has been compromised. If you found that it has then change your password, security questions and activate two form authentication if the sites provide these security features.

20.01.2022 Windows 10 countdown has started. Get your free upgrade before the 29th of July. Remember you have 30 days to roll back if you decide that it's not for you. However do as much prep work as you can. Make sure you have backed up all your important data, ensure that you have recovery disk and software on hand in case the rollback doesn't work out.

Some simple rules to help protect your email are, if your not expecting anything from the company that has sent you the email delete it. ATO, Police & other government departments don't normally send you emails. If you need to click on any link to proceed further it's morn than likely a virus email, just delete it. Below is a sample of what I've received this morning from "Australia Post".

07.01.2022 Got an email that looks like it's from AGL recently. This is one of ways that ransomware is infecting computers at the moment. The email wants you to click one of the links on the page, this will start to download and install the ransomware onto your computer. From here if starts encrypting all your data including photos, documents and PDF's to name a few. Be careful on what you click on. If you do receive one of these then just delete it. Prevention is always the best method so make sure you have a good internet security suit and it's up to date.
