24.01.2022 We are still running outdoor one on one sessions! If you are keen to keep training and stay fit, get in touch. The sessions include a program for you to work through during the week and can incorporate boxing and kickboxing, or be pure fitness.

23.01.2022 The closure of gyms and restriction on exercise over the last couple of months have had a devastating effect on fitness routines, and as a result, many have lost their fitness levels, strength, and stamina. With gyms reopening, its a good time to assess what your level of fitness is, and start working towards where you want it to be. This Saturday Apex Self Defence will be running an initial fitness test which will allow you to have an exact idea of where you are right now ...and can help identify your current strengths and weaknesses. With the initial testing done, we can then plan a training program to rebalance your physical fitness and help you maximise your growth. We will be running these tests at intervals throughout the year to ensure you have trackable progress and data to directly compare how you are growing and in which areas. 23.01.2022 Gyms around Sydney now shutting their doors, including City of Sydney venues. At this time both Open Sparring and Apex Self Defence are still operating. You can check the official posting below on NSW Health about continuing to train, but their first point is a good one: Keeping fit remains important. If you are well and have not been asked to self-isolate then you can go to the gym. Dont go to the gym if you are unwell. If you are unsure about training in a gym or in clas...ses, then spaces are available for one on one training. Outdoor sessions are also an option as many parks are a good alternative to training indoors. Apex Self Defence offers both of these options. Follow our Facebook page to keep updated.
23.01.2022 With the striking work we have done over the last couple of weeks giving us a great foundation, it is now time to turn our attention to weapons again! 22.01.2022 Apex Self Defence will now be running online classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 6-7pm through the Zoom platform. Classes will be $20 per week, however if you are experiencing financial difficulties please let us know. Our goal is to have everyone continue training through this period. With the restrictions lifting for outdoor boot camps and training, Apex Self Defence is bringing back outdoor classes starting June 2nd to allow the adjustment back into physical training as early as possible. In order to continue to adhere to government regulations concerning social distancing, the classes will be split into padwork / striking and conditioning / fitness and limited to groups of 10. Statistics show that the majority of homicides involve either a family member, friend, or acquaintance, which means the victim was often caught by surprise with their guard down. 08.01.2022 Workshop Feb 29, Defending against attacks on the ground. In many altercations and attacks, it is extremely easy to be hit, thrown, or tripped to the ground. Especially when multiple attackers are involved, being aware of your environment which is commonly uneven can lead to you falling. ...
