22.01.2022 Back in 2008 our very own Penny Batty (CMR Division - Notting Hill, VIC) and her mother began an amazing event Girls Night In to raise money for Cancer Council Victoria. The event start with 10-20 women in Pennys mums lounge room with a few games and a small afternoon tea raising $220. From there the event grew beyond their expectations, not realising Girls Night In would become so popular that it books out 1 year in advance or that within 12 years and over 14 events th...ey would raise an astonishing $118,144 for Cancer Council Victoria. The event is held in October every year with over 250 raffle prizes, 50 auctions, a lot of fun and laughter with over 170 women in attendance. This year APG and Our CMR division were delighted to be a sponsor of the 2019 Girls Night In which raised $18,144 Penny and her mums largest sum to date. Thank you CMR/APG for this donation, with your generosity and support, we are one step closer to achieving a cancer-free future - Penny Batty #apgcommunitytree #girlsnightin #cancercouncilvictoria
