08.01.2022 Too often we see athletes coaching themselves in Olympic weightlifting and expecting new or big results from coaches who aren’t educated or experienced enough. Questions you should ask yourself as an athlete: have I progressed like I have planned in the last year? If not why? does my coach know more than me?... am I learning from my coach and do they produce the results in the relevant time? are my injuries being fixed and no longer an issue? am I constantly being injured? Why? why has my coach not fixed these issues? Are you as an athlete to blame or is your coach? Food for thought and all valid questions every athlete should always question.

02.01.2022 Being a coach means a lot of things: knowing to always learn and develop their skills an earnest passion for training and people understanding that programming and coaching work hand in hand for results, that one suffers when not done together correctly... motivation during a class and enthusiasm is what encourages any person Training at any level. knowing the major differences between athletes and people’s abilities and knowing how to cater for them. having eyes on the back of your head and always having preparedness in any situation. These are just some of an endless list. Not just anyone can be a coach for a lifetime and be good at it. Ensuring the development of any athlete is key. Your athletes should always progress.
