23.01.2022 Thanks to Melbourne International 3 Day Event and 4yold EQ Saddleworld Young Event Horse for hosting this competition. Skippy is super pleased with is EQ Armour rug kindly sponsored by EQ Saddleworld

22.01.2022 Just putting it out there....if anyone is looking for someone to break in a young horse or two, Sam will be home towards the end of January for 5 weeks and is happy to take a few....for something to do!! Pm me if interested.

21.01.2022 Skippy has a run on the board!! His first competition and his first (2) blue ribbons!!

20.01.2022 Salsa having a jump in the dust!! She is very cool jumper

19.01.2022 This lovely mare is still available. She is very clever on her feet, can cope well with a miss to a fence and will be a winner in the dressage arena. We really need to find her a home so all reasonable offers considered.

17.01.2022 Stunning mare by APH Lubeck in foal to APH Rocardo, from a Coriandus/Copernicus mare. Impeccable eventing and dressage lines which have been proven time and again. Mousee is due to foal in early 2021. She has evented successfully to 1* level and would be perfectly suited to recommencing her career after raising her foal. Foaled 04/02/14, she is available only because we have several full sisters to carry on the line. Her full sister APH Marbles recently won the 95 class at Equestriad. Her dam competed successfully to 2* level. Ph 0427466230 for further details.

16.01.2022 To be fair....this jumping gig makes a bloke VERY tired!

16.01.2022 Crafty is contemplating......cross country schooling or sleeping . Sleeping definitely would have won had I not become assertive

15.01.2022 The last ever foal by Sandhills Craftsman arrived on Wednesday morning, safe and sound. He is from APH Annie, who is the dam of Golly’s APH Andre, amongst others. Simon has claimed naming rights, and he has opted for the stunning name of APH Coopers....clearly he has a major sponsorship deal in his sights!! Perhaps his competition name could be APH Craft Beer !!

15.01.2022 Skippy (Rocardo/Coriandus) 4 yr old stallion I simply couldn’t resist posting this.....don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun taking a horse schooling over his first 60 cm cross country jumps. He constantly reminded me ‘I grew up on a farm you know’

14.01.2022 If anyone is looking for a horse to get back into jumping, eventing or dressage Elvis could well be for you. Videos in comments.

13.01.2022 Rocardo and his girls went walkabout this morning. They happily followed the nut bucket back to their paddock...lucky for me, as a morning stroll certainly wasn’t in the timetable

12.01.2022 Thanks EQ Saddleworld and Melbourne International Horse Trials for a fabulous competition. We are thrilled with the results....2 APH horses, 2 State 4 yr old Champions, both by APH Rocardo

12.01.2022 The wee boys are patiently waiting to grow up enough to be broken in Jackson is by Sandhills Craftsman (Croftlea Artisan) from Jazz (Jive Magic/Koenigsberg). He is a half brother to APH New Sensation, owned by Thea Horsley Eventing. Solomon is by APH Lubeck from APH So Hattie (Trak). He is a half brother to Henrik APH, currently eventing at 2* level. Cedric is by Sandhills Craftsman from APH Annie, who is the dam of APH Andre, campaigning at 3* level with Olivia Barton Eventing.

12.01.2022 Stunning 1* Eventer to suit capable junior, young rider or adult. Crafty has a divine temperament, a ‘can do’ attitude, is easy to handle and is an all round cool dude. He is looking for a forever home and is perfectly capable of going up the grades. He is not a beginners horse, nor is he for a nervous Nellie, but if you are a confident rider and want to go eventing, show jumping or even do dressage, be competitive, safe, look amazing and have fun doing it, he is probably the horse! 16.3hh, 14 yrs old. Price Neg (priced under $16k) home not, please don’t waste my time. Please call 0427466230 for further details.

12.01.2022 Thank you to the hard working TIE team for a well run event at Tamworth. Thank goodness for the stables and under cover arenas as without them we may well have fried! Pictured below is Felix Caspar competing in his first 2* on board his Rocardo mare, APH Sage. So lovely to watch this partnership develop The 3* class was won from start to finish by Andrew Barnett and Go Tosca, who is also by Rocardo. Second place went to Olivia Barton and APH Andre, yet another of Rocardos’ o...ffspring. 4th place in this class was also claimed by Olivia Barton riding the beautiful mare, APH Witchcraft, who is by the lovely grey, Sandhills Craftsman. In 6th place and having his first start at this level was Henrik APH, who is again by Rocardo. What an absolute thrill to watch these horses develop from babies into the wonderful athletes they are becoming! Love them all See more

09.01.2022 I thought we were amazing....but apparently I need to go faster

09.01.2022 These 3yr olds just seem to be looking for trouble. We made the mistake of leaving them in the adjacent paddock to the cross country course, whilst digging the ditches. Their assistance became very unwelcome They’re photogenic though!

08.01.2022 He’s super cute! Meander’s first boy baby in 7 years

05.01.2022 Sam has been busy starting the 2 yr olds whilst he has been home. Jill has been using the beautiful Rolly (Rocardo/Annie) as a companion pony. Here he is babysitting his half sister, Angelique (Sandhills Craftsman/Annie).

05.01.2022 Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to train at Wallaby Hill!

03.01.2022 Rocardo and Kalypso If he uses all of his native cunning to catch her, I’m sure the offspring will be spectacular!

02.01.2022 Thanks to a massive effort from the team at Wallaby Hill for once again providing us with a world class event! With a total of 5 horses between Golly and I we were pretty busy! There were a few highlights in my weekend. Highlight 1 was finishing the CCI2*-L in 2nd place, with Henry, on his dressage score of 25.50. This horse is so generous, so kind and just feels as though he loves his job.... Highlight 2 was finishing the CCI1*-L on Sandhills Craftsman. This horse has had a series of life changing events in the past 6 months and he still happily cantered (at EVA 95 speed, admittedly) around only his 2nd 1* .....the first was back in 2013!! We gelded Crafty back in May this year after he had run as a paddock stallion for 6 years. We had had various mishaps with a number of his foals due to, what appeared to be, a genetic predisposition for him to produce VERY large foals, hence making the delivery process pretty damn difficult. The decision was made to return him to work as a gelding. A month after he went back into work he developed a fungal eye ulcer, which saw him spend a week at Sydney Uni Vet Hospital. He then returned home to remain on intense (and I mean intense) treatment for the next 6 weeks. The fact that he made it to Wallaby Hill, and finished was no small miracle!! I was adamant I would sell him after Wallaby Hill....I’ve changed my mind. Next year there’ll be a father/daughter duo on the team with Witchcraft (aka Jelly) already back in work and preparing to take Golly, hopefully, around Melbourne and Adelaide. Highlight 3 was watching Golly successfully compete Andy in the CCI3*-L and finish 6th, adding just a rail and a couple of time penalties to their dressage score. This time last year Andy was a 1* horse...a fantastic achievement Thank you to my ever supportive husband, Simon, who, along with Jeremy, fed the starving millions whilst I was off having a wonderful time at Wallaby Hill. Thanks also to our long time sponsors Horseland Dubbo. the following businesses are all supporters of Golly’s - thankyou! 01.01.2022 For the first time in their lives these 2 & 3 year olds have an abundance of feed, and from the looks of them, I’m sure they’re thinking the next famine is just around the corner!

01.01.2022 Lovely mare with Aberlou/Staccato bloodlines.
