08.01.2022 Many of you may know that Scott McDonald is currently in Spain participating in Steps for Stroke El Camino 2018, to raise money for stroke research. Scott has raised almost $30,000 for stroke research. We would like to thank all who have contributed and have helped Scott exceed his initial target of $15,000! Read Scotts story below and visit his fundraising page:-... https://stepsforstroke2018.everydayhero.com//steps-in-the- My Story Ive created this page because I want to make a difference. At the age of 31 my wife, Lavinia, had a stroke. Around every 10 minutes someone in Australia will suffer a stroke and approximately 1/3rd of stroke survivors are under age 65. There was very little available by way of therapies to assist with Lavinias recovery. Ongoing research into stroke and stroke recovery is critical to identify ways in which we can assist the recovery of stroke survivors and improve their quality of life. Im inspired by the work of Mater Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money for stroke research as part of my participation in Steps for Stroke El Camino 2018. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the Donate button. The more people that know about Mater Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
