At that time it is so important to remember that you need to look after yourself. I would like to remind you of some tips I suggested a few months ago that can help you stay mentally healthy:... Dont blame yourself for sleeping in or not doing what youve planned. Be kind to yourself. If you feel overwhelmed, take a moment to yourself and do what you like doing: meditate, listen to an audiobook, have a cup of tea. Try to go outside if the weather is good. Even just to your backyard! Check-in with yourself. Maybe even write down how you feel and why. Then you will know what makes you happy and what makes you sad. 19.01.2022 WHAT DO I FIND MOST REWARDING IN MY PROFESSION? I met my client a year ago - his clutter was getting him down. He has depression and anxiety which was very evident when he said these words I am not confident anything can be done. Habits had been lost... There was no daily routines There were fears of failure and abandonment if he didnt achieve his goal and, There was clutter The goal was to make his unit a home and not a storage shed and to build his confidence. 15.01.2022 HOW TO RELEASE YOUR ATTACHMENT TO YOUR STUFF Youve decided its time to reduce what clutters your life but the struggle is making decisions you have attached meaning to so many of your things...even your shoe collection! The collection has grown over the years, but you dont wear half of them, the attachment is holding you back!... 06.01.2022 TAKE SMALL STEPS AND GET IT DONE! Youre ready to get your house and life under control, so without further ado, lets get you started... Pick an area that irritates you the most because its always the most cluttered e.g. your home office desk (considering most of you are probably working from home during this COVID pandemic)... Set your phone timer to 15 min - throw anything away that is rubbish and put away the other stuff where it should go - that includes the build up of dirty coffee mugs if youre decluttering your desk! When the timer goes off, give the area a good dust and clean and straighten up the items that are left. Enjoy the clean, decluttered space Schedule another 15 minutes - make sure you mark it on your calendar. Start the cycle again. If you break the big picture down and take baby steps, you will find: You get enjoyment from the decluttered areas and will want to keep it going You start gaining confidence to let go of stuff you know you dont need You find your mindset changes and you become more excited about what you are achieving After each cycle, celebrate your wins, you deserve it If you get stuck and need some advice or help, give me call or drop me a line.
