25.01.2022 STARTS THIS FRIDAY The South Tweed Sports Accumulator Event (with a twist) ! We will host these on a Tuesday and Friday night. Rego 6pm for a 7pm start.... Strict late registration of 15 minutes. Tuesday will be a $17 BUY IN Friday will be a $35 BUY IN How does it work ? You will play two 90 minute rounds at the same table against the same players. You will play six 15 minute blind levels with a 20k start stack and we will then have a 20 minute break to reset and sanitise the tables before Round 2. You will return to the same table with the same players (but in different positions) with a fresh 20k stack. At the completion of each round we will count and record your chips and the winner of each table will receive: $25 at the Tuesday Night event $50 at the Friday Night event. The overall winner is the player that has accumulated the most chips on the night. Examples of prizepools based on 32 players would be: Tuesday: 1st = $200 + $35 Venue Voucher 2nd = $90 3rd = $30 4th = $15 Venue Voucher Friday: 1st = $350 2nd = $180 3rd = $110 4th = $50 Venue Voucher ** NO MASK NO PLAY ** Masks are available at registration for $1.

17.01.2022 Almost a full house last night at South Tweed Bowls with lots of fun. Chris had a straight flush and won a box of Maltesers . Rudi Voss picked up some club cash unfortunately it was Rudi’s last game with us as he is moving to Bribie. Leata had quad A’s. But the winner was Chris Weir who started his run that started with 3 all ins A’s vs K’s vs J’s. First card out of the chute J then blank for the others. Chris then went barrelling through the field and eventually went HU with John but made it short and sweet. Not only dId he win but scooped the pool for last man standing. Poker NSW and APL has this morning received notification from NSW Police that poker events CAN BE CONDUCTED AGAIN so long as the...y meet the maximum group booking of 10 as outlined in the Public Health Order. What this means for players is that POKER WILL BE BACK! There will be some differences to the format as Multi Table Tournaments cant be operated under the current restrictions BUT lets look at the positives! We CAN play Shootouts, Single Table SNGs, Satellites and Timed Tournaments to name a few of the variants. Given the maximum group booking size of 10 any variant that ensures a single player only interacts with 9 other players is permissible. 08.01.2022 A great night last night at Sth Tweed Sports with a good crowd turning up for the last game of 2020. As usual there was lots of laughs. Forbes Davies had another 21st birthday and because of it being the last game, we had a best hand before and after the break with the winners taking home Club vouchers. Judith Jeffrey won with a Full house As over Ks, but after the break then fun began just when I thought the best hand would go to Mark Powell with Quad Ks, our Moi...ra Wilkinson Moise turned a Royal Flush , and then Moira romped home going heads up with Chris Gray and took down the win. Poker will be back on Saturday 2nd with Renay Murray @ 7pm. Don’t forget each Tuesday the Club is having a members draw now at $6,500 (not bad for $2 fee) Thank you all for your support and here’s hoping 2021 will be a great one for all See more
