25.01.2022 This Weeks Auction Results Continuing on its merry way - the strong auction result run continued last week, posting the first back to back overall clearance results in excess of 70% across the last 12 months. This again was driven by strong registered bidder numbers, with the limited supply creating a bottleneck of competition in most marketplaces. Sales prior to auction have dipped slightly, possibly a reflection of confidence for vendors and agents to see their campaigns through until auction day.

This was fueled by a strong commitment to activity from registered bidders, with the active bidding percentage in particular strong. With volume of auctions maintaining all the way through until November, the overall clearance rate will be an interesting study.

24.01.2022 This Weeks Auction Results The auction result surge continued last week. With the overall clearance climbing above 70% for the first time in a number of months. This was fueled by the highest number of average bidders per auction that has been seen this year, beating the previous high set last week. Those buyers again showed an appetite to participate - leading the active bidding percentage to hold firm. With strong volume of auctions now in play until mid-November - there seems no reason for the strong results to not continue.

This has mainly been fuelled by a strong buyer pool, which despite the challenges faced by interstate and overseas buyers have remained consistent in both their quantity and quality.... Attendances also are back in force with crowds again enjoying attending on-site auctions, with almost 30 people on average in attendance at each auction.

The number of average registered bidders this week was a feature - hitting a yearly high. Even with this surge - the active bidding percentage remained consistent - leading to the strong overall result.

19.01.2022 This Weeks Auction Results Coming off the highest auction clearance rate in Queensland last week since February, the market staggered this week - recording the lowest clearance rate of the year. This was primarily driven by a fall off in registered bidder numbers, with the number slipping below two for the first time in a number months. ... Despite the low result - what was prevalent was a number of post auction buyers present, potentially speaking to the risk adverse nature of buyers at present. This week will be interesting to see if last week was a temporary blip, or a precursor of things to come.

Interestingly enough the overall number of average registered bidders dipped slightly as did the active bidding percentage, but those that participated were generally serious in their intentions and met by sellers that were willing to transact. Sales prior to auction were also a strong feature speaking to the urgency that buyers presently have to secure a property in both the present market environment and prior to Christmas.

Buyer numbers remained strong from the previous week - with the active bidding percentage bouncing back from a yearly low last week. Increased volumes now remain all the way throughout the usually quiet winter period.

Volumes now look to be increasing all the way throughout June and into July - which have traditionally been the quieter months of the year.

Although the total amount of registered bidders dropped away, those who did register were more inclined to act - again showing purchaser confidence. With crowd restrictions being handed down at the 11th hour in QLD - crowd numbers were understandably down, with many agencies restricting attendance to registered bidders only.
